I Love the Dream of You
Dreaming and remembering you
Each time the wind touches my face.
I remember my arms wrapped around your waistReflecting on your warm smile
Your warm embrace
As I held you as mine.
Oh! How I miss those daysI Love to dream of you.
Do you remember me?
The one you left behind
In shadows and memory of time.Long am I gone.
Mostly forgotten.
The youth who wished too long;
Who dreamt too much.I wished for you.
You ended my dreams.However, now I find myself dreaming again.
Closing my eyes and pretending
That the dream is everlasting and
never ending.The Dreamer that I am
I want you to understand
That of you, I cannot stop dreaming.I will be done dreaming one of these days;
My love of you had numerous ways
Right now I am in my broken hearted phase.Dreaming of a Love that was real
A Love that I could feel.
I dreaming of a Love to spent the night
Wrapped in my arms from the twilight.
A real love cradled in my arms in the morn.Time has come and gone
But my dream remains the same.
It does not ebb, nor wane.
The wordless song I sing;My silent hymn,
Of Love that's forever and never ending
Dreaming and pretending.Just because you are not here
Does not mean that I cannot love you the same.
Just because you are not in my arms
Does not mean I cannot hold you close.
Just because you I miss
Do not mean your lips I cannot kiss.
Just because I love the dream of you.Now I am reflecting on your angelic smile
And your warm embrace
As I held you as mine.Oh, how I miss those days.
Before we went our separate ways.October 14 2019
