Making it Last

Just one more good bye is all I ask
Just one more sip from the flask.
I want to make it last.

I have room for two or more
As in and out of the revolving door
I flow
When it will stop I do not know.
In and out I flow.

A sip to taste the wine
From lips so Devine.

The taste that is you;
Taste like Love.
Sweet as honey, as intoxicating as the wine.

Round and round I go.
I have fallen for you.
I am a wheel in time
My love of you is blind.

Looking for love like a pauper and a drunk
Looking for love like Pepé the Skunk.
Like a bee to a flower
I remember the day, the minute, the hour.

You whisper in my ear
Did you miss me ?
But like my hair you are not there.
Just echoes in time
Vapours of the wine.

Just another sip from the flask
This time I will make it last.
Just another lingering wish
Encapsulating all I miss.

The ebony eyes sparking with star light
Shimmering gazing at the moonlight
After lust has won the fight.

The disappearing starlight as clouds draws a veil
Across the night sky
And covers me here where I lie
As the wishes and taste grows stale.
