Park Jaehyung POV

"Hey, I still need to give Perry the bags of goods. Let's meet him," I nodded. I didn't have much say in our conversation mostly. I was just a lost puppy trying to figure out what on Earth is happening. He pushed through the crowds of people who were cheering. I looked at our hands that were still attached and smiled softly. I wondered if he used lotion because it was so soft. Maybe I'll ask him.

He looked from side to side before pushing me into a room, shutting the door. I fell back with a thud. He apologised and pushed the randomly placed curtains from our faces.

"Perry?"

"Over here," A voice probably deeper than the ocean made me slightly jump. My hair stood up and I uncomfortably shifted my weight from one leg to the other. Brian calmly hummed back and looked at me. I was shaking. He tighten our hands slightly before dragging me to the direction where the deep voice came from.

"Yo what's good my man?!" Brian threw his hands up and ran over to the empty seat, putting his arms around nothing but a dark mist. Once again, goosebumps started reappearing. I felt weirder, like something heavy against me.

"He smells.. Bad.. Like real bad," The voice appeared from behind me. I awkwardly scratched my hair.

"He.. He is going through some hard time.. Okay?" Brian explained to the mist.

"Surely it isn't that bad? I mean, in the other universe, she's slaying. What the heck happened to him in this universe," I cocked an eyebrow while Brian made funny faces. His eyes widened while making some frowns and mouth syncing. For half of my life, I acted as if I was deaf so I didn't have to communicate with people. So along the way, I was able to pick up a skill on how to read lips.

"YOU DIMWIT WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? HE ISN'T ALLOWED TO KNOW ABOUT THAT YOU TWAT-"

"What am I not supposed to know about? The parallel universe?" I butted in. Brian gasped before throwing his shoe at the mist, completely going through it. The shoe flew and slapped the wall. He sighed before pulling me close, whispering to me.

"That word is a taboo. Don't say it loudly or you'll get hurt in either universes," He warned me.

"What's so bad about saying 'The Parallel Universe'--" I felt a punch on my stomach. I coughed and rubbed the pain.

"That's what happen in either this or the other one. Be mindful of your words," The mist started swaying from side to side. As if it was dancing to non-existent beat.

"One of you NEEDS to explain," Brian sighed before plopping himself on the chair.

"Long story short, I'm gifted with the power to see spirits. Somehow, Perry opened up a wrong portal, coincidentally in MY house. It was weird to see a confused, child-like man in my couch but we both hit it off great. He needed to go back to his homeland soon but obviously, he can't do it by himself. That's why I bought the bags of drugs from you - For Perry to brew a potion," I stayed silent for a while.

"I'm sorry for dragging you in-"

"Sorry? SORRY?! DUDE, THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED IN MY LIFE!" I jumped on Brian, squeezing the living soul out of him.

"What happens in the parallel-- Other universe?" I turned around and asked the dark mist, still on Brian.

"We call it Earth Reborn too. Basically, souls from Earth will be transfered there and to practically have a second life. Those who their contract wasn't successful, they will be reborned in Earth but in a whole new different body. Their memories will be kept though, from recent past life, meaning, lives before the previous one would be gone and stored in the universe's library."
