My First and Only Love

Chapter Fifteen

Cassandra:
     The next day, when I walked into school, everyone was staring at me. 'Ugh, everyone must know about me and Spencer by now.'

Charlotte, who was walking next to me, whispered in my ear," Spencer's at your locker." "Ughhhhh," I exclaimed.

I walked up to my locker, not even glancing at him. "Cassy," I heard him say. I ignored his voice and got my books. Before leaving, I made sure to slam my locker as loud as possible. I saw him jump a little. Now that made me smile a little.

A lot of girls came up to me and congratulated me for ending things with him. I have to admit that felt nice. What didn't feel nice was first period: Chemistry.

When I walked in, Spencer was already there. I took my seat and started writing in my notebook. He tried to talk to me, but I simply just ignored him.

During class, Alexander passed me a note:            

        Meet me at the parking lot after school

'Seriously, a note? We have phones. Whatever.' I turned around and nodded at him. In response, he smiled.

Well, first period sucked. I basically just ignored Spencer the whole time. PE should be easier, since I don't have to be with him.

Anyways, everywhere I went, girls were congratulating me. Meanwhile, guys kept flirting with me.

When I went to finance class, came another confrontation: Maria. I tried to ignore her, I really did, but her voice kept bugging me. And then I went crazy.

"Why the hell do you want to talk to me?" I screamed at her when we got out of class. Everyone stopped to stare. "Cassandra... I really wanted to tell you..."

I laughed at her," Oh really. And Spencer's dick made you stay quiet?! That's a great excuse." "Cas, please keep it down." "Oh, I'm sorry. Are you embarrassed now. Let me make that worse." I jumped on a table and screamed," Hey everyone! Maria didn't tell me about Spencer because she was too busy having sex with him!" I jumped off the table and smiled at her," Say bye bye to that good girl rep." "Cassandra please don't be like this." "You made me be like this," I spat at her face.

When I walked away, I bumped into Charlotte who was smiling from ear to ear," I have never been prouder of you." I smiled back at her," It was hard. She was basically the only friend I had. And Spencer... that hurts more." My sister hugged me," Well throw them away from your heart, because they don't deserve a girl like you," she said looking down at her watch," I have to get to class. Good luck in pe." "Yea thanks," I said before running to the locker room.

When I opened my locker, a note slipped out. 'What is it with people and notes?'
     Good job with Maria. She really deserved it. It isn't the first time she does this to people. She did it to me too, but I never would have done what you did. You are a role model for all those girls who were used by Spencer and lied to by Maria. Keep making us proud.

When I got out of the locker room after school, I remembered I had to meet Alexander. 'Should I?... I mean, he helped Spencer lie to me.'

It took me a good five minutes before I decided to go see what he wanted. I walked up to him and was about to slap him, but he grabbed my arm saying," Please don't."

I sighed in surrender," What do you want Alexander?" "To say sorry." "Seriously? Because I'm not buying your bullshit." "I'm being serious Cas." I rolled my eyes," Ok, what are you sorry for?" "I'm sorry for helping Spencer like that. It was the first time we did this and I feel horrible." "First time?... but what about all those other girls?" "Everyone knows about Spencer. You were new and didn't know. So he lied to you and used Robert and me to do it. But I feel horrible. Spencer really hurt you, and you don't deserve that. Please forgive me." I smiled a little at him, but then frowned," I can't forgive you. And I'm sorry for that, but I can't. At least, not yet." I walked away.
