Chapter Twenty-One

Cassandra:
      "Ok Cassandra. Take a seat." I did as Mr. Fernandez instructed. "Ok, so you said you had to speak to me." I nodded slowly. "Ok what is it?"

"I'm very confused." "I'm guessing this is about Spencer?" "Carina told you?" He nodded," You became a role model to Carina when you stood up to Spencer. She's very proud of you."

I smiled," Really?" "Really." "Wow, I never knew that. It's good to know she feels that way." "Cassandra, I also know about Maria and your mom. I know it feels as if everyone you love is abandoning you, but-"

I shook my head," No. Not everyone I love is abandoning me. My sister has been more loyal than ever. Carina and Gabriel are my best friends and I don't know why I didn't meet them sooner. I love them like my siblings. Even you, Mr. Fernandez, have been great to me."

He smiled," I'm glad to hear you say that Cassandra." I smiled back and stood up," I don't think I need this therapy session." He stood up and nodded," You really don't. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you Mr. Fernandez. I should probably get back to Carina and Gabriel because they think I have committed or something."

Me. Fernandez chuckled," Have fun sweetheart." I smiled," Thank you," I replied before running upstairs into Carina's room.

I really did feel more calm and loved after that.

"Hey, where were you?" Carina asked. "I was in the kitchen. I needed a drink of water." "Ah, Cassy is being healthy." I chuckled and looked at Gabriel who was quiet and looked frustrated.

"Hey Gabriel, what's wrong?" "Carina ima take Cas for a minute. I'll be back." "Oh... well... alright."

Gabriel grabbed my elbow and practically dragged me out of the room and into the guest room, locking the door behind him. "Uh... why are you locking the door?" "Chill out. I'm not gonna rape you or something."

"It's not that Gabriel. I know that. But I don't want to give a wrong picture." "Ok whatever. Well I don't want Carina walking in right now." "Why not? You guys are supposed to tell each other everything." "Yes but..." "But what?"

He fidgeted with his phone," You haven't checked your phone lately have you?" "No why?" "Ok, well so... Charlotte sent us a message." "Ok and?" "She says Spencer came by your house."

"Oh hell no," I exclaimed reaching for the door. Gabriel stood in my way," There's more." "More?" "So Spencer thinks you and I are..." "Are what?" I asked, hearing my voice sound more demanding. "He thinks we are together."

"OH THAT'S IT IMA GO BREAK THAT GUY'S FACE!" Gabriel grabbed my shoulders and tried calming me down, "There's more Cas." "What more could there possibly be?" "Ok, could you sit?"

I sighed and took a seat at the edge of the bed. Gabriel sat next to me and fidgeted with his phone again and stayed quiet. I got impatient and took his phone.

I unlocked it and the first thing that popped up were texts from Spencer. There was a picture of him and some random girl naked, kissing.

Spencer: I may have gotten over Cas and not care about you being with her, but Carina will care and a lot. So how about you don't upset me? 😉
Gabriel: Screw off. Carina will never believe your lies
Spencer: Don't be too sure about that. Every girl has their jealous side
Gabriel: Carina trusts Cassandra and me
Spencer: That's what every guy says but it's never true so you might want to be on my good side
Gabriel: I ain't doing shit that you ask me to do
Spencer: Ima give you a final chance I'll see you at school on Monday

I placed Gabriel's phone on the bed slowly and jumped up and ran to the door. I was too quick for Gabriel to catch me. I ran down the stairs with him chasing after me saying," Cas! Think about whatever you are about to do!"

I didn't listen. I grabbed his keys, which he conveniently left on the table, and ran to his car. "Cassandra! Stop! Don't do it!" he yelled as I got into his car and roared the engine to life.

I drove off to Spencer's house. I was so done with him and his bullshit. As I pulled in, so many memories went through my mind. I felt myself break as I remembered one specific one.

*flashback*
I woke up feeling someone kiss my neck softly. I looked over and saw my amazing boyfriend. "Good morning gorgeous." I smiled at him," Good morning."

"How'd you sleep?" "Pretty good." I reached over for a camera and started filming him. "Say hi Spencer." "Hello film club. Yes, I know you are probably wondering how I look so god dam sexy even when I wake up. Well, guys, I was born with it." He winked.

I playfully rolled my eyes and stopped filming, putting the camera on his nightstand. "I didn't know my boyfriend was this cocky," I teased. He smiled," It feels so good to hear you say I'm your boyfriend. Best week of my life."

I chuckled and nodded," Yea me too." He pulled me towards him and placed me on top of him.

He kissed me softly. I kissed him back. After the kiss, he said," Come on. Let's go eat."

*back in reality*
  I took a breath and knocked on the door. Spencer opened the door and smirked," Cas." I tilted my head and glared at him. I punched him in the face.

He looked at me in surprise. "You deserve more than that." "Cassandra why are you here?" "Spencer, you could tell me whatever you want, but don't mess with my friends. That's where I cross a line. Keep Carina and Gabriel out of this shit."

"Gabriel decided it was a good idea to challenge me at school. Let him live up to his mistakes." "You fucking little bitch." "Actually Cassandra, the only bitch in this room is you."

I raised my arm to slap him, but he expected it and grabbed it before I could touch him. He dragged me into the house. "Don't ever touch me again," I yelled releasing myself from his grip.

He rolled his eyes," Tell Gabriel to be careful what he does because he doesn't want to upset me." "Oh yea. You think Carina will believe the biggest bastard in school over her best friends." "Heck yea. I'm a pretty good actor. I made you believe I was good and had never had a girlfriend," he chuckled," Pathetic."

"I hate you." "That's not what you said when we were together boo boo," he winked.

I took a breath and decided to just turn around. "I expect you on time tomorrow morning my newest employee," I said turning around. "Well I want you in bed 'boss'."

I felt myself tense up and turned and punched him in the face again. This time, I broke his nose. "I would expect some more respect from a guy still on probation." He glared at me," Hey, boss, I don't know if I could go to work tomorrow. My crazy ex broke my nose." "No excuses. Be there," I said walking out the door.
