THIS may be triggering. I am, again, being cautious.
Mia began to twist and knot the sheets. She had no idea what she was doing, but the voices did. The demons told her what to do and she did it.
“Why don’t you take over? It’d be easy for all of us.” Mia said to herself.
Then it wouldn’t be suicide, would it? It’d be us killing you and where’s the fun in that? Toby stated.
“Do you think anyone would miss me?” Mia asked curiously.
No. Another voice said, did you think anyone would miss you?
“To be honest: no. I was hoping that Ashton or Calum would care. But they haven’t even tried to contact me.” Mia shrugged as she continued to tie the sheets together.
Well, you won’t have to worry for long. You’ll see your parents soon enough. Toby laughed.
“Not like they’d care.” She scoffed. Her parents never loved her. They put her up for adoption when she was 1.
OK, we are almost done. It’ll be over soon.
“Good.” Mia sighed.

Charlie was sipping her coffee as she watched Mia. Mia hadn’t been doing much, but Charlie had promised the 3 boys that she’d watch Mia for them. So far she hadn’t done much but cry in the corner. But then she did something. She started to tie blankets together as if making a rope. That wasn’t a good sign. Not a good sign at all.
Charlie turned the audio up so she could hear what Mia was saying.
“I was hoping that Ashton or Calum would care. But they hadn’t even tried to contact me.” Charlie saw Mia shrug. She was not in a good state. Ashton said it was because she was alone.
Charlie would just have to keep a sharp eye on her if Mia gets out of the Lockdown Ward. She continued watching Mia make a rope. Was she doing what Charlie thought she was doing? No, she couldn’t be.
Charlie was now taking slow sips of her coffee, not daring to take her eyes off the screen in front of her. Mia kept talking to herself and was now making a neck hole for the rope. That was it.
“We need security on Lockdown Ward Room 8 now! It is urgent. But you must bring the Demon boys with you.” Charlie commanded through the speaker. She just hoped they got there in time.
-
Calum was awoken from his sleep. A security guard was shaking him awake.
“What is it?” Calum shot up. He was having another bad dream and was relieved to be woken up. This ‘storm’ had been making his nightmares worse. It hadn’t just been memories anymore. They were hallucinations that felt so real.
“Charlie needs you and the other demon boy to help Mia. Now.” He commanded. Calum sprung out of bed and ran across the hall to see a nurse struggling to open Ashton’s door. This is bad. What is wrong with Mia?
The hurricane! A girl laughed in his head.
“It won’t open.” A nurse said sadly.
“Give it here.” Calum moved the nurse aside and kicked the door in just above the knob. He kicked it 4 more times until the door swung open.
Ashton was by the wall, punching it repeatedly.
“Ashton!” Calum ran to the side of Ashton trying to get his attention.
“Go away!” Ashton yelled.
“This isn’t you!” Calum said over Ashton’s loud breathing.
“MIA IS IN TROUBLE!” Calum yelled. Ashton stopped punching.
“Why should I care?” He sneered. This definitely isn’t him. His voice wasn’t usually like that. His eyes were both focus yet unfocused.
“She is going to kill herself, you inconsiderate dick!” Calum hit Ashton across the face hoping that it’d bring Ashton back to reality.
Ashton blinked hard and took a step back. “What?” He mumbled.
“It’s Mia! Something’s happening! We have to go. Now.” Calum ran out of the room, not looking back to check if Ashton was following.
Calum continued to run down the hallway, he could hear Ashton and the security guards on his heels.
“ROOM 8” A security guard called. He stopped at the big iron door that signaled they were at the Lockdown Ward. A guard opened the door with his key and led the way. Ashton was at the same pace as Calum now.
They ran into the room to see Mia. Both Calum and Ashton breathed out a sigh of relief. The twisted sheets were at her feet. She must have dropped them.
Mia looked confused. Really confused. Tears stained her pink cheeks. Her eyes were puffy and dazed. Then, she slumped over and fell to the ground. Ashton kneeled down and cradled her in his arms.
“OK, guys. Back off give her some space.” Ashton called. Calum felt the weight rise off his chest. Mia was okay.
For now.
-
Mia was still shaking in Ashton’s arms as he carried her into his room. She was knocked out for quite a bit, but she soon woke up and Ashton carried her in the marriage hold to his room. 2 guards had to follow her for the next few days on suicide watch. But luckily they had enough space to be in his room alone. He didn’t need people watching Mia all the time. That’d be frustrating.
Ashton pushed the two single beds together to make a double and placed Mia on the bed.
“What happened?” She mumbled.
“Nothing. Mia, it’s fine. You can go to sleep.” Ashton smiled at Mia softly.
“Just tell me. What happened?” She rubbed her eyes.
“The voices took over you, without taking you over. You almost did It.” Ashton put emphasis on the word ‘it.’
“Oh.” She said sadly. Was that really all she reacted with? Oh? Ashton shook off her reaction with the excuse that she was in shock.
“It’s fine now. You’re Okay and out of that Hellhole.” Ashton got into bed next to Mia.
“What if I hurt you?” She pouted.
“Trust me. The only danger I have is myself.” Ashton chuckled.
“I want to tell you want I did. What I did when I was younger.” Mia said in a whisper.
“Not now. Later. Get some rest. It can wait for tomorrow.” Ashton smiled at Mia.
“Are you sure? What if I change my mind?”
“Then you change your mind and I wont know. But right now, I don’t care. You need your rest. Without the voices.” Ashton pulled Mia closer to him.
“Can you fend off the demons for me?” She yawned.
“I’ll keep you safe.” Ashton smiled sadly before Mia drifted off to sleep.
