hajoon kicked the pebbles on the sidewalk muttering incoherent words to himself. he also had his hands shoved into his pockets of his sweater.

unknowingly, jaehyun had been walking the opposite direction on his phone wondering why hyesun couldn't hang out. did she despise him that much? he didn't want to ask her why as he thought that felt too intrusive but he was curious regardless.

he ruffled his hair in frustration, wondering why he even cared about the girl who didn't want to hang out with him.

shoving his phone in his pocket, he looked straight ahead of him, noticing a younger boy walking the opposite direction of him

he couldn't help but notice how familiar he had looked. not because he knew him but because of how similar he looked to someone else. the two passed each other with hajoon not giving a single glance towards the older but jaehyun had kept his mind towards the boy.

as the younger continued to walk, jaehyun made an abrupt stop, before turning around and looking at the boy's back that was getting further and further. suddenly, his feet moved on it's own and now he was in front of the younger boy

hajoon stopped in his steps and looked up at the older boy, not knowing who it was at all but then jaehyun spoke, "do i know you?"

"why would you know an 14 year old?" the boy scoffed, crossing his arms while jaehyun observed his face, trying to figure out who he looked so similar to and then it finally hit him

"you're..hyesun's little brother right..?" he questioned

"and what's it to you? and why do you know my sister?" he snapped at the older, suspicious of him

"hyesun and i are..decent friends you can say" he awkwardly chuckled before speaking again, "you seem to not be in a good mood. what's up?" jaehyun shoved his hands into his pockets

"you wouldn't know or understand my situation" hajoon mumbled but jaehyun sighed, kneeling down to the boy

"i may not know what you're going through..but i can help you still if you jut tell me"

hajoon hesitated on this, biting his lip. he didn't want to trust a complete stranger but if he knew hyesun then he figured he would be okay to trust, "fine.."

"good" he stood up, patting his shoulder, "let's go to your house"

"where could he have gone..?" hyesun sighed as she walked to the steps of her house, "i hope he's here..or hyunjoon is going to kill me but he should be at work by now.."

she entered the house silence engulfing her, "hajoon!" she yelled but got nothing in response.

hyesun put her bag down along with hajoon's and walked into the hallway where the bedrooms were.

she reached hajoon's shared room before reaching for the doorknob and slowly opening the door. when she opened the door, she was shocked as she saw two people sitting on hajoon's bed.

there was jaehyun and hajoon sitting on his bed finishing his math homework, jaehyun helping him

hyesun leaned her body against the frame, crossing her arms at the sight in front of her.

she had never seen hajoon get along so easily with people. his math tutor was the easiest and then again..his friends didn't seem like the best so she didn't know whether to be shock or happy or confused. maybe all three

jaehyun finally noticed the girl and awkwardly coughed. hajoon looked at him then hyesun, "he helped me finish my homework.."

"have you never heard about stranger danger?" hyesun joked lightly
