junghwa smiled at her brother's text as she set her phone down and opened her book to continue reading. she was sat down in the living room, enjoying her peace.

she was waiting for her mother to notice that he was gone and how a majority of things in his room were gone.

was she going to murder junghwa? probably but she didn't care.

jaehyun was safe and he was going to live a good life from now on, not having to follow whatever his mother wanted him to do and instead what he truly called for.

"jung junghwa!"

there it is.

she heard heels clack against the wooden floor but she didn't turn to look at who just entered the living room.

"junghwa, do you know where your brother is?"

"hmm? no." junghwa shrugged, flipping the page in her book

"half of his items are gone junghwa! i know well you know where your brother is at. i was going to go over with him what he had to say with the yangs' daughter tomorrow. did he just up and leave?"

junghwa sighed before she closed her book. she set it aside and stood up, finally turning around and making eye contact with her mother.

"yes, yes he did."

her mother stood there in shock, "h-he left..? that's absurd! he would never do so!"

"are you sure mom?" junghwa asked, crossing her arms, "because i think he did."

her mother got closer to the girl but junghwa didn't back down, the couch separating the two.

"where did he go? did you help him?" she scoffed, "he went off with that troublemaker girl huh? if he had just never met that damn girl-"

"mother! listen to yourself!" junghwa exclaimed, cutting off her sentence, "..you're really willing to put yourself and the company over your own son's happiness?

"i'm not putting anything above his happiness. i'm doing this for his happiness! so he's successful in life and doesn't have to worry. with a girl like that..he's bound to fall into a horrible way of life. i'm doing this for him." miss. jung exclaimed.

junghwa almost scoffed, "you think forcing your children to do shit that don't want to do is for our happiness? yeah, sure." junghwa looked away in disbelief before looking back at her, "yes, jaehyun ran away with her and i encouraged them to do so. better than being stuck in this household. i couldn't do it but i wanted to make sure he could escape your grasp."

"junghwa! why are you disobeying me!?i've done everything for you! i got you into college, paid for your tuition, treated you well-"

"you mean shit talking to me to your coworkers about how i'm gong off your path. i don't want to work in your company mom, i want to be a lawyer and i'm already pursuing that."

"you're what.."

junghwa let out that secret out of frustration but she might as well just tell her mother, "i'm doing law mom, i switched my major over a year ago. i'm pursuing it and you can't stop me. you failed in raising us."

junghwa proceeded to grab her items before walking past her mom and walked towards the entrance and she could hear her mom following behind her.

"jung junghwa! you don't leave this house!"
