Erica thought about the offer the next morning. She helped Linda with the meal. After eating, she noticed Am went out with Otto. Erica looked around to make sure Linda is in her studies. She left and followed the trail of footprints in the dirt she left yesterday. She saw that Edward isn't here and when she decided to turn back, Edward appeared.

"So, you decided to show up," he said.

"Only for today," Erica replied, "How can I be so sure I can trust you?"

"Only time will tell," Edward added, "Thanks for keeping that offer in mind."

"I will spend one day and one day only with you," Erica sighed, "but if I really know you're not like your brother, I maybe, just maybe spend another day with you."

"That'll be grand," Edward replied coming closer.

Erica knows that Edward is kind with his looks. She hope things will turn out well for her.

"My mother was kind to me and my brother, before he snapped," Edward explained, "It was all Tory's fault he became so twisted. I only agreed to kill Tory for Fuyuki's sanity, but I was wrong. Fuyuki's twisted mind became even worse. He wanted to take over this territory. I can't let him hurt you or your sisters."

Erica was amazed that Edward is still good by heart.

"Why don't you leave him?" she asked.

"I can't," Edward sighed, "He still shows some care towards me..."

Erica knew that Edward is suffering, from his brother's abuse.

"You will find a way to stand up to him," she said, "I know you will. You will find the right time to."

Edward felt some confidence. Erica was starting to make sense that he haven't felt in a long time.

"Erica," Edward said kindly, "You really do remind me of my mother.."

"You think so?" Erica asked.

Edward nodded.

"Yeah, she use to be like you," he sighed, "She was very caring and very protective. I miss her so much. I wish Fuyuki's heart remained pure and kind like mine..."

Mya saw Erica returning that evening. She hope she didn't take too long. She hope Am returned too.

"No fair..." she growled softly.

"It's all right," Angela told her, "You still have me, Heather and Ivy to give you some help."

"I don't understand..." Mya moaned, "How come Am has someone and I feel so lonely...?"

"You'll understand love one day," Ivy pointed out.

"Yeah," Angela added, "and why be hard on yourself? Your eye might be gone, but you're still beautiful."

"That's the nicest thing you've said," Ivy grinned.

"Yeah, thought that will help you feel less insecure," Angela replied with a nod.

"I appreciate that," Ivy added, "and why can't your mute friend trust me?"

"Heather, can you give Ivy a chance?" Angela asked the Eevee girl.

Heather shrugged.

"Please," Angela asked again, "For me...?"

Heather sighed, giving up her grudge and walked up to Ivy.

'Hope that will go well this time,' Mya thought, 'But why is Heather so friendly towards Angela and not Ivy or Lora? Guess Luna was foreshadowing for me...'

Am was on her way back and saw Erica outside.

"What were you doing?" Am asked.

"I was out," Erica answered.

"Doing what?" Am asked again sternly.

"I can't tell you," Erica added, going inside.

'What are you hiding?' Am thought when following her older sister.

Am was about to ask again, but didn't bother. She went to bed and saw Mya.

"Mya, I know you're still mad, but I thought you would be glad," she sighed.

Mya's tail was still swishing in anger. She didn't say anything to her sister until she is calmed down.

"Mya.." Am sighed again, "I'm so sorry... I mean, I still care about you and all, but you will have a bigger family someday."

"I know.." Mya mewed, feeling regret, "I shouldn't be this selfish. I'm happy for you and Otto, but I felt so lonely."

"You have Gar," Am pointed out.

"We're just friends, remember?" Mya added.

"Right, but that will last about four years," Am giggled, "Just four years from now, you will have that feeling towards him too, like I did with Otto."

"I guess you're right," Mya sighed.
