Chapter 5

"Get rid of her!" Abby hissed, "She's the one who-"

Lora placed her hand over her little sister's mouth to silence her.

"What are you doing here?" Erica growled, "Am told me what you did to her."

"I told you I've come in peace," Ivy said, "I see how you thrive here in this base. I want to stay here."

"No way!" Cleo snarled, "Am told Erica what you did to her! There's no way we're letting you stay here! You're one of Fuyuki's lackeys! Why should we trust you?"

"Fuyuki?" Am asked.

"You never heard of him?" Linda added, "He's been causing trouble for a while now. He hired other rouge mew mews besides Ivy to take us down. He's been a problem ever since he and his twin brother moved near the forest in the plateau of the mountains."

Am narrowed her eyes at Ivy in hatred, not believing her words.

"I left Fuyuki's clan," Ivy added, "I want to join you. Please..."

"No!" Cleo growled.

"It's up to Linda to decide," Angela replied.

"Very well," Linda put in, "But I'll accept judgement for now."

"What?!"

Cleo's jaw dropped and Am's eyes were wide, then narrow again with hatred. Erica didn't say anything else and went upstairs to check on Mya. Am was still unsure what to say to Ivy. The Leafeon girl came closer to her.

"Not another step closer!" Am snipped.

Her eyes showed pure anger and hatred. Her Pichu cheeks were sparking up with tiny static sparks, a warning if anyone comes closer, they can attack any moment. Ivy took a step back.

"It's best not to provoke her," Angela told her, "She remembers very well how you- you-know-what to her..."

Ivy nodded.

"She will get use to you," Linda put in.

Mya looked at Erica and didn't want her anger to burst out again.

"Mya..." Erica sighed, "I can tell Cleo decided to patch things up with you, but the scratch was uncalled for."

"She said sorry," Mya replied, "and I did too for scratching her. I'm not angry anymore, Erica."

Erica blinked.

"I can tell you're not anymore," she said, "but that outburst earlier was uncalled for. I had a hard time with my temper when I was younger before you were born. I am nearly an adult, Mya, and I have to look after you and Am for the past ten years."

Mya felt a bit of sadness in Erica's green eyes.

"You never remembered our parents, Mya," Erica went on, "They were kind mew mews. I remembered them and Am remembered them too. That's why you seen her cry sometimes. She misses them very much and so do I. You have a bit of our mother's temper, Mya. You have that to remind me of her."

Mya never knew her parents very well as a baby. Erica was the only mother figure to her. Mya loves her sisters equally, even if she never knew her parents. The only thing that rarely occur in her dreams was fire that scared her. Mya shivered at the thought of it.

"Mya?"

Erica's voice broke Mya's thoughts.

"You were trembling a moment ago," Erica said, "Is something wrong?"

"No, no. Everything is okay right now," Mya answered.

"Mya, if there is something wrong, you don't have to hide it," Erica pointed out.

"I have been having a few bad dreams about fire..." Mya admitted, "It scared me so much... That's why I get cranky, Erica. I'm so sorry..."

"It's okay, Mya," Erica said softly rubbing her younger sister on the back, trying to comfort her, "Sometimes these dreams aren't real and some show us a sign."

Mya looked down, then knew that the fire dream wasn't real at all.

Am was resting on the couch and tried not to make any eye contact with Ivy. Lora decided to talk to her, but didn't feel like it and let Linda show her and Abby around. Angela stayed by her most of the time.

"Ivy will try to fit in if you give her a chance," she said.

Am sighed.

'If she messes up, Linda will think twice about this...' she thought.
