Eddie

He couldn't help but scream as the pain tore his head apart. At first, it started as a dull thud but soon grew into something a lot more violent. Soon a high pitched frequency consumed his hearing and his screams were the only thing that he could hear. His vision blurred from the pain and force of his screams.

When the pain stopped, he realised that everything was pitch black and he began to sob. He felt warm, familiar arms wrap around him. They made him feel safe and secure, something he hadn't felt at all since they had ended up in this strange, little town. He wheezed into the person's chest, smearing blood, snot and tears on their shirt.

"It hurt so much." He managed to wheeze to the person.

"Calm down Eds, you're gonna give yourself an asthma attack." Richie's voice ringed in the silence, calming Eddie down a little bit more.

"E-E-Eddie!" Bill's voice sounded into the darkness. "Where are you?"

"I'm over here Bill!" Eddie's voice was raspy from the screaming.

"What the shit was that?" The Chief's voice called.

"Chief, you should probably watch your mouth around the kids, if they're still her," One of the other officers recommended.

"I don't give a shit if they hear me swearing," The Chief snapped. "I just want to know where they are and what the hell is going on!"

Eddie felt Bill's hand wrap around his left arm.

Bill sighed with relief, "Found you."

"Guys?" Stan's voice called out.

"Boys!" The Chief yelled, "Where are you?"

"We're over here Chief!" Bill replied.

The lights came back on with a flurry, as if they had never gone out. Eddie could feel more blood oozing out of his nose and he suddenly felt extremely light headed. His eyelids began to flutter as he struggled to keep them open.

He could feel one of his friends gently shake him.

"Eddie! Stay awake, goddammit!"

Eddie looked up into Richie's large brown eyes, which looked back down at him with desperation. He felt his heart began to pound and he suddenly wanted to stay in Richie's arms for as long as he could. But he didn't, instead, he sat up and supported his head with his hands.

"I'm getting there Rich, just give me a sec will you?" Eddie mumbled.

"Jesus fuck!" Richie yelled.

"Language!" The Chief growled at Richie before looking at Eddie. "You alright kid?"

The sensation of being light headed was beginning to fade and Eddie looked up at the older man, "I think I'm okay now."

The doctor walked out of Cassie's hospital room before looking at the young boy and frowning, "Are you alright young man?"

Eddie nodded, "I'm alright now, just a nosebleed."

The man did the same and turned to Bill, "Your sister should be okay for now, but I would like to see your parents or legal guardian first."

"I'll take care of that." The Chief informed the doctor. "Just let them head in for now."

The doctor looked like he was about to protest, but he didn't. He probably feared the wrath of The Chief as much as they did.

And with that, the four boys headed into Cassie's room, relief enlightening their chests as they began to see their friend or sister.
