Eddie
No sooner had Eddie finished turning to his friend to see his response did Richie start to double over. His glasses flew to the forest floor with a smack! and he had shut his eyes tightly.
"Richie? Rich!?" Eddie flew over to his friend and knelt beside him, "Rich? What's wrong!?"
Richie began to scream, one that scared birds out of the trees and startled some of the other forest life in the distance. His hands flew to his ears and he screamed louder. He screamed and screamed as if he was being torn apart from the inside out. And Eddie tried not to cry or panic because of this, he had to be strong for his friend.
He grabbed onto his friend's wrists and tried to pry Richie's hands away from his ears. "Richie? What's wrong?"
The only response Eddie got was an even deeper scream, one that made the branches rattle with its force. Tears began to swell, blurring Eddie's vision but he ignored them. His heart broke to see his friend doubled over, screaming in pain and not being able to help him.
After a minute the screaming eased and Eddie wiped a stray tear away from his cheek.
He could feel his voice crack with worry as he spoke, "Richie? Richie? Are you okay?"
Richie swallowed and proceeded at his friend. "I'm not Richie."
