Eddie
They were all sitting in Bill's living room the next day. After his parents had gone to work, Bill had called them over to discuss what they were going to do next. Stan, who was cuddled up on a blanket to fight the freezing autumn day, had something to tell them all.
"I could somehow hear Richie's thoughts when we fought the Demogorgon," He confessed.
"W-W-What do you mean?" Bill queried.
"Like when he had turned into the werewolf I could hear his thoughts, just like I can hear the birds thinking about food right now."
"Maybe that's why the Demogorgon pulled you into the Upside Down, it could have been trying to talk to you," Cassie suggested.
He shrugged, "Maybe."
"W-W-Whatever's going on with all of us now, we have to learn a way to try and control our powers." Bill turned to Richie, "Especially you, R-R-Rich."
Richie acknowledged Bill by nodding, but he decided not to say anything. Eddie could see the conflict and powerlessness in his eyes, so he reached over and interlaced his fingers with his own. Richie looked over at him and smiled warmly.
"Maybe we could try and fight Henry Bowers and his gang with our new powers," Richie piped up suddenly.
Cassie snapped, "That's a big fuck no."
"Why not? Imagine the look on Bower's face when we beat the shit out of him with our new powers!"
"Or the look on his face when you tear him to pieces," Stan argued.
Richie looked down, guilt and fear spreading over his face. "Okay."
"And b-b-besides, w-w-we don't want to be experimented on again," Bill added.
Eddie decided to change the topic to a more light-hearted one. He wanted to cheer the Richie and the others up after what they had been through the past week. He willed the TV to switch on and The Goonies flooded Bill's TV screen.
"Holy shit," Richie grinned. "I love this movie."
Eddie walked out of the living room and into the kitchen. He grabbed some mugs and some hot chocolate powder.
"You might want these as well," Bill walked towards him, handing him a packet of marshmallows.
Richie saw the packet and yelled out, "Remember to put extra marshmallows on mine!"
"Me too!" Cassie called out after him.
"Same goes for mine!" Stan decided to join in.
Bill chuckled, "I guess that's extra marshmallows for everybody."
Bill helped Eddie make hot chocolate for everybody. The sweet smell of the drink filled Eddie's nose, making his mouth water. A sense of warmth and closeness spilling throughout the house, fighting off the icy autumn air. They were all home, safe and happy.
Little did they know that something was awakening in Derry, little by little, ready to possess the small town.
