Stan

Stan the Man was petrified with fear which couldn't help but deepen when the portal leading back to home became impenetrable. He was clueless on how to get his friends and himself away from this insanity and back into Derry. This had to be a bad dream though, this entire thing was an illogical mess. First, Bill had been pulled into a place that turned all of their blood cold and was nearly killed there. Then they got stuck in a world where their hometown didn't exist and they couldn't get back!

Yep, this thing was definitely a nightmare. Yet, something told him that this nightmare wasn't right, and it scared him into thinking that this could, in fact, be reality. He shuddered at the thought.

Now, there was that thing that happened with Richie. It was beginning to grow late at night when he had begun to scream in pain. A minute later he stared at them in absolute confusion.

After Richie had said, "I'm not Richie," he began to furrow deeply, staring at the ground and ignoring his friend's questions. A minute later he had fallen onto his knees and began to scream again, causing Eddie to rush to his friend.

"Richie? Richie, please tell me what's going on," Eddie's voice broke with worry.

Richie shook his head and picked up his glasses which had fallen to the ground. "Something... happened." He managed to muster.

What the shit was that? Stan thought.

Eddie helped Richie stand up, "No shit Sherlock."

"What was that though? One second you're down on the ground screaming and the next, you're saying that you're not Richie." Stan questioned.

"I don't know." Richie rubbed his head, grimacing as he did it. "It was like I had no control over my body. I could see what was going on but nothing else. Then I can hear another person's voice in my head: Mike's."

Stan frowned, "Your doppelganger?"

"Yeah, my doppelganger."

A brisk, ruffling sound echoed throughout the woods, causing them all to look around.

Stan's heart began to pump furiously. Oh god, is it back again?

Bill turned to face where the noise had come from, "W-W-What was that?"

"I'll go see," Richie began to walk towards the sound.

Stan grabbed Richie's arm. "Are you insane? After all that's happened today?"

The sound echoed again, but this time it was louder. A bright light began to shine through, blinding the group. Within seconds there was a flurry of shouting and screaming. Three men in police uniforms shined their torches onto the kids and frowned.

"What are you guys doing in the woods so late at night!?" The tallest of them, a man with a gruff beard and a frown that dug deep into his face lectured. "Get home!"

"Hold on a sec Chief," One of the others halted. This police officer had dark skin and wrinkles, "Where are you guys from?"

"De-De-Derry." Bill managed to muster, despite Stan seeing absolute fright shroud his eyes.

"There's no such town." The Chief snapped. "Where are you guys actually from?"

"We just said," Richie retorted. "We're from Derry."

"Don't be smart with me kid." The Chief growled.

"We actually are from Derry sir," Stan looked the Chief directly in the eye, keeping his tone calm as he spoke and refusing to back down from his scowl.

The Chief sighed. "If you're going to be difficult, then we're going to have to take you to the station to answer some questions."

The group didn't reply, instead, they all looked at each other. The look of disparity a common trend among them all. Varying levels of disbelief mixed itself into the concoction. But Stan could tell that the same thought rang through them all as much as it did for him: they had no way of getting home and they possibly may never be able to see their loved ones again.
