Bill
He was still stirring from his body's urging messages for him to go back to sleep when he saw Eddie hover the plates in the air. The site woke him out of the state instantly as he stared wide-eyed at his friend. When Eddie lowered the plates and Dustin ran up the attic stairs, Bill attempted to communicate with Cassie.
Cass? He called out telepathically, hoping she would reply.
No response.
Cassie? He called out again.
Yeah? Cassie's voice rang out. What's up?
Something's happening to all of us. Bill said to her.
No shit Sherlock, She replied sarcastically. Maybe being in this world is doing something to our bodies.
Do you think it's affecting Stan? Bill asked her.
Cassie shrugged at him. I don't know, ask him.
"Are you guys communicating telepathically again?" Richie yelled out, shattering their connection.
Bill frowned, "W-W-Why do you ask?"
"You guys have that look on your faces," His friend answered plainly.
"What look?" Cassie questioned.
"You guys just stare at each other and do weird facial expressions. As if you guys are talking to each other," Eddie spoke up.
"Yeah, it's some really weird shit," Richie agreed.
Ignoring them, Bill looked at Stan. "Ha-Ha-Has anything happened to you S-S-Stan?"
Stan nodded honestly but remained silent.
"What was it?" Bill asked his friend.
Stan's voice began to shake in fear, "It was as if I was back in there."
"W-W-What do you mean th-th-there?"
"Where you were sucked into originally," Stan answered.
"When did this happen?" Cassie queried.
Stan glanced at her, "At the police station."
"He started saying that the lights were flickering and shit," Richie butted in.
Stan snapped at this, "Well, they were to me, Richie."
Richie poked out his tongue, "Maybe you're just going crazy."
"Shut the fuck up, Tozier!" Stan growled at Richie.
"You're going crazy! You're going crazy!" Richie teased.
Bill could see the temptation in Stan's eyes to strangle Richie. Stan reached forward and Bill attempted to lunge for him. He didn't have to though. As soon as Stan was reaching for Richie, Eddie stuck out his hand and Stan stopped in midair.
"R-R-Richie! Get to the other side of the room!" Bill ordered.
Richie obeyed and fled to the other side of the attic.
"S-S-Stan, you need to calm down," Bill attempted to soothe his friend. "W-W-We're all tired and I know Richie's being a dick. But you have to calm down, please."
Reluctantly, Stan sighed and gave up on trying to get Richie. Bill saw Eddie drop his hand and wipe away the blood that had begun to run from his nose.
"Th-Th-Thanks E-Eddie," Bill nodded.
"Yeah, thanks, Eddie. Thanks, Bill," Richie puffed.
Eddie smiled weakly, "No problem."
Stan looked up at Bill with depressed, tormented eyes. "I'm not going fucking crazy," Stan murmured to himself.
They all sat in silence, waiting for Dustin to return. Nobody spoke a word. Nobody even coughed or sneezed. The silence pierced Bill, but he didn't dare break it. It's better to remain in silence than for another fight to break out. He thought.
