After meeting Matteo Sy few days after I met him I learned that he's the son of Mr. Cruz, the hospital's med president. People said he's much secluded in his own room but when I popped out he did mingle around with people.

"I really think he looks at you as someone who is more capable than him." declared Bella while on our lunch break. I looked at her, confused. "Ah really! Just trust me this time, Shandy. It's my instinct."

"Just shut up, Bella." Nikolo said. One of the resident surgeon. "It's not that way. Don't pressure, Dr. Samhat for that just because he's the first love of Dr. Matteo's dream girl."

I almost choked on that statement. "Dream girl?"

He nods, "I was Dr. Matteo's closest friend in some cases. Just kidding. I am his bestfriend as the matter of fact. He met her at the opening of the cafe downstairs. He visits her every single day since the opening. That made him move a little closer to her then one day I saw them somewhere having a date and he cleared it. I think he's courting her for around 2 years now."

"Such a persistent admirer. Aah. Im getting jealous." Bella sighed with pure envy for Geen. "And this guy here..." she pointed at me, "is still inlove with her after 3 years of not seeing her."

Nikolo and Bella both looked at the entrance so I decided to look too. She's with Matteo, smiling beautifully and seems happy. I sighed. Did I made her smile like that? It hurts me that I wasn't able to see her with such smile. I turned my gaze around to eat again. "Don't look at me like you're watching a sad drama." They both nodded and gasps at the same time. "What is it this time?"

"Hey guys!" A guy said from my back. "Can we join you for lunch?" he asked. They looked at me, "What?" I asked. Bella looked at me like a mad woman looking for an answer. Why do I have to answer that question? Ofcourse it's not okay at all! "Yeah sure." I stated.

They both settled in. Geen was sitting beside me and Matteo on the other side. I felt her a little. I really want to hold her, hug her but I just can't and it hurts me. "What did you guys order?" he asked. I deadpanned and continued eating my meal. With that I can peacefully leave and maybe do something like alibi.

"What did you order, Shandy?" She asked. And with that, I become her prisoner. I faced her, smiling. "I ordered your favorite. Carbonara pasta with garlic bread and added cheese." I saw her smile a little but had herself hide it away by giving me a poker face. Bingo. Checkmate. Your heart still beats for me after all?

She then turned around to Matteo, "I heard you ordered seafood marinara? Let me have that as well." She took a sip from her water goblet and I swear I saw her tensed a little when our hands accidentally collided. We're on the middle of our lunch when I decided to excuse myself.

"Anyway, Dr. Samhat? Our department will be having a delibaration tomorrow morning. You attendance would be surely appreciated." Matteo said after I stood up. "Yeah sure. I'll go. It's past my rounds so I have to go. Please excuse me. Doctors see you around." I said and looked at Geen. "Geenina, see you around." I left the restaurant with a smile on my face.

I went to Mr. Cruz' office because he needed me there. That's what he said. As I enter the office the smell of brandy welcomed me. "Professor Cruz, you called for me?" the old man walked his way towards me while holding his glass. "Have a seat, Dr. Samhat." I followed his instruction and settled in.

"I called you because I received some complaints about your performance last Monday and Thursday." I got confused. Really now? "What complaint in particular?" He placed his glass on the table and leaned back. "A mother had his son checked here and the day after she said the capsules you prescribed gave his son allergic reactions." I sighed.

"As far as I remember, I don't give prescriptions if the child has allergies. I didn't graduated med school to perform error for a simple warning. May I know the name of the patient and who told you about the complain?" I asked firmly. I am holding to my own. I know myself.

"It was said by Dr. Matteo Sy." he said as he sips from his cup of brandy. "You can check the patient's name here." he handed me a piece of paper Autumn Marquez
