Ch9: Statement

I flew to Cebu after I got my tentative dismissal report submitted. It was few hours and I met Veronica with Marco. "Hey Shandy. Tell me about it. Have you gotten your closure with her?" that was the question she kept on repeating the moment I stepped on the airport. I gave her a glare but it didn't bother her. "Come on, bro. Spill the beans."

I stopped my track and look at them, "I'll answer that on the hotel. Please. I am exhausted." They both clapped and decided to just settle in our hotel. Upon arrival I saw Clara and thank heavens she didn't saw us. "Damn. Is it the story renactment? Seriously?" Veronica joked around.

"Here are your keycards." The front office associate handed the key cards to Marco and we headed to our hotel rooms. Im glad I am separated from those two. Who knows what may happen when we all go to the same room. I gave myself few hours of sleep before my area manager called me. I face palmed when I heard that ill be needed to arrive at exactly 7am at the beach nearby.

The night came and the two stubborn 23 year olds are knocking nonstop on my door. They're like not getting married in few months. Damn me and my selection of friends. I grumply walked towards the door and the moment I opened the door they went in holding bunch of foods and beverages to munch. It's not like I have tons of story to tell.

Sighing, I decided to sit on the couch since my bed is too crowded. "So now, spill bish." Said Veronica, munching her first slice of pizza. "It wasn't too interesting she just said he still likes me" and without finishing my story the loud squeal of Veronica was heard in the hallway of this 40 storey hotel building. "Seriously?!?" She shouted at me while holding a can of soda. I couldn't get more disappointed with my selection of friends. "No, let me finish first"

Marco decided to pull Veronica on his side to prevent further destruction. "Yes, she said that but that doesn't mean ill be taking advantage of her. She has someone courting her for 2 years already." I tried snatching some chips but failed so I settled with the soda can I have. "Have you met the new guy?" Marco asked while holding a gentle grip on his girl.

"Yes. He's one of the surgeons and pediatric team. He's quite famous with ladies because of his looks. And he's the son of our hospital assistant vice president." That left the two in shock and I chuckled. "Much bigger name than me right? But I talked to him telling him that he should fight for her in every way he can." that earned a clap from Marco.

"Do you have plans on taking her back? There are tons of men around her by now. She's grew beautifully I swear! Have you seen her, Marco?" asked Veronica. Marco shook his head. "Better not. You'll fall." I chuckled, she once again turn to me. "So do you have plans on taking her back?"

I took a sip from the soda can, "Im taking back what I lost."
