"We seriously need to get a life" I huffed as I crossed off the final grocery on my list. Summer snorted a laugh as we went into the coffee shop to buy drinks.
"You're telling me" she replied before placing our orders and paying. I smiled.
Once again we were out shopping, although in our defence we were shopping for groceries since we were running low on, well everything. Luckily Summer had a job working at one of the shoe shops back in the main part of the Bullring so that was why we had enough money to buy food and pay the bills on our apartment. I was still looking for a job, although I had an interview tomorrow and let me say I was keeping my fingers crossed.
"Here you go" Marie said handing us our drinks, before smiling as she recognised us.
"Hiya Marie" I grinned and she smiled back.
"Hey there Lizzie" she replied.
"This is Summer" I said gesturing to my friend, "-Summer this is Marie" they smiled and said hello to each other as I sucked at my straw, relishing the taste of my vanilla ice-cream milkshake. I loved these, they were so good here and it pissed me off because I couldn't replicate the taste at home.
"Do you not have a home to go to?" she asked me and I laughed at her.
"Surprisingly enough, we actually do. We just spend too much time up here" I said and she nodded.
"So you like the clothes then?" she asked me and I nodded before gesturing to my body. I'd finally put in a load last night so I had some clean clothes to wear, some of these were actually the clothes from the clothing line that I had bought over the past year and a half, when I'd been introduced to them by-
"Lizzie?" Marie asked and I shuck myself out of my thoughts. I gulped and blinked quickly to dispel the tears that had appeared in my eyes and I looked up at Marie. She frowned and I felt Summer wrap an arm around me. I breathed deeply before plastering a smile onto my face.
"Yeah sorry, I spaced out then. I tend to do that a lot" I replied and Marie nodded.
"I do to, although I'm usually daydreaming about making out with celebrities" she replied and I laughed but nodded at her, since I did the same.
"I do that to, although it's usually when I'm on my own with my iPod plugged into my ears." Marie nodded and I moved out of the way to let her serve the person behind us.
"Anyway we need to get going" Summer announced and I sighed, before shrugging at Marie. She waved and after we said our goodbyes, I turned to walk in the direction of the bus stop.
"Wait Liz" Summer called and I turned around to see that she was gesturing in the opposite direction. I frowned at her but followed anyway.
"I thought you said we were going?"
"We are, but I brought some money with me to spend on clothes" I groaned. How many clothes did that girl need?! She smiled at me and pulled me in the direction of my new favourite shop. I instantly brightened at the thought of going back in. Maybe Josh would be there, if so I'd chat to him for a little while, since I wasn't going to be buying anything. Summer snickered and I realised that I was grinning to myself.
"You looking forward to seeing someone Elizabeth?" she asked me and I glared at her use of my full name. Summer only used my full name when she was pissed off with me, or teasing me. I was going for the latter, since she loved teasing me more than what we annoyed each other. I huffed but felt myself smile again as we walked back into the shop. Wow three times in the past three days, there was something horribly wrong with our minds.
I saw Josh look up from the counter and saw him grin. I headed over to him while Summer hurried over to the clothes. I placed my bags on the floor and leaned against the edge of the counter.
