"Would you quit your pacing Liz I'm sure everything's fine!" Summer grumbled, watching me from where she was sitting at the breakfast bar. I sighed and stopped long enough to glare at her before continuing with my pacing.

"Sum it's been four days. He's never taken this long to talk to me, I mean he spoke to me at least twice everyday" I groaned, pulling my hair up into a ponytail only to let it fall back down again causing Summer to sigh.

"I'm sure it's nothing Liz. They probably partied too hard or they're too busy" she lied and I kept quiet, not wanting to offend my best friend. I knew that Dan had been keeping in touch with her, so why hadn't Josh texted or talked to me in four days? Plus I know he's still been Tweeting fairly often.

It was only a month into Warped Tour and according to Josh and the guys they were having fun. There were so many bands on the bill whom they all knew so it was like having a big never-ending party, although Josh was careful to reassure me that while he did drink alcohol he was still extremely careful about the quantities he was drinking. Dan had also told me the same thing when I'd enquired, but for all I knew Josh could be drinking ridiculous amounts and getting Dan to lie for him, but I knew Josh wasn't like that. What I did know was that something had definitely happened, but I knew Josh couldn't be back in the hospital because Summer and I would know. The guys would've told us.

Meanwhile Summer and I had moved into Dan and Josh's apartment and after getting the go ahead from our boyfriends we'd decided to redecorate the open plan kitchen/living room as well as our individual rooms. Summer and I had decided to liven up the place since the guys had just kept all of the rooms a plain boring white colour, they were too lazy to change it, so when we moved in Summer and I had changed the decoration.

The living room now had numerous colours on the three walls. The door behind me where the door and coat racks were as well as the opposite wall now had a light pink colour- of course Summer and I had argued until I gave in- the wall to my right where the door that led to the bedrooms was as well as where the cabinets were for the kitchen was a cream colour and the wall to my right where the television stood was painted black- and the reason as to why I let Summer have her pink. Of course Summer had said we'd needed to tie in the colours so she'd matched the furnishings in the room to the wall colours.

The room I would share with Josh was no longer pale white walls and a white ceiling, but had a bold green wallpaper on the wall where the bed sat with a matching silken bedspread. The floor was a spongy beige carpet and matched the remaining three walls, while I'd painted some scenery images and placed the two canvases in my room and two in the room Summer would share with Dan.

In their room, Summer had gone all out with a pretty coloured wallpaper containing blues and reds while her furnishings were less vibrant to compensate for the boldness of the wallpaper. I myself hadn't been too keen, but Summer had sent Dan a picture of the wallpaper, and he'd liked it, although I'm sure he would change his mind when he came back to see that it was on all four walls.

My phone vibrated in my hand and I grinned at seeing Josh's name on the text message. Summer looked up at me from her magazine and smiled at the grin on my face.

"I told you so. I bet he has a good excuse" she said and I nodded, before opening the message and eagerly scanning it before stopping in my tracks and re-reading it just to take in the words and when my brain registered them I buckled and slid down onto the floor next to the armchair.

Liz, sorry for not texting you in a few days but I'm breaking up with you. I met an old high school friend who I had feelings for and it brought back so many memories. She was my first love and it made me realise that I didn't love you as much as I thought I did. This long distance relationship is hard on the both of us, and it's not fair to either of us being tied to someone halfway across the world. I'm sorry for doing this, we can talk when I get back. Josh x
