"What do you want to talk about, uncle? Why bring up Juliette?"

"I've noticed some distance between the two after that party that happened. Especially what happened with Miss Heyes and that girl, that stripper..."

"Her name is Rebecca and I don't appreciate you talking bad about my wife's friend. She's no stripper to Juliette or to me."

"Yes, yes I'm sorry. But after that day, Juliette is keeping her distance from you and it will cause a problem if Joseph finds out and speak with you."

"Yes I know. But it's nothing. Juliette has a lot on her mind about that day when Miss Heyes spoke so badly to Rebecca and with the business, I'll speak with Juliette when we're alone. Everything's fine."

"Remember to keep the daughter of the man who owns District 1 happy. Do something to make her happy and glad to be with you. Joseph is going to be watching you two when we head to Joanna's party on Saturday and do something to show how much you two are for each other."

"Yes uncle but it's fine. We're fine. But changing the subject, how's my father doing? What does the doctor say about his leg?"

"You know Alexander, he's being strong for the family. He yelled at the doctor but followed what he needed to do that is staying off his feet. But it will help if you visit him. You know, family."

"Family is everything. I'll check on him tomorrow or you know what tonight. I'll bring Juliette to see him as well."

"He would like that very much. See you tonight my boy."

The moment Juliette entered the room, I immediately asked her to accompany my to see my father. "I would like it if you come with me. It'll be great for you to see where I'm from and see the estate that you never got to see when the engagement was arranged. What do you say?"

"It would be nice and family is important, and I know seeing your dad will be great for him. It should improve his health."

"I already told Joseph that we'll be leaving. Let's go."

Juliette's POV

I agreed to go with Elijah to visit his father so he won't feel alone. Family is very important and I did wanted to see his estate when the engagement was arranged. I wanted to know who was the man I would be marrying and see if this wasn't a mistake. But I know it was a mistake so the powerful bosses can be more powerful and be feared by everyone. I was angry but got over it as it went on. It was a short ride when we arrived, it wasn't big as home but it was nice and amazing. There were hedges and a lot of trees. There was a man that greeted us, "Welcome back, young master. Lady MacGregor."

"How you doing Henry?"

"Doing just fine but glad to see you, Elijah. Along with your lovely wife. Quite Jamilah."

"Excuse me?"

"Means beautiful. Henry here is from Africa and been in the family for almost 16 years."

"It is always a pleasure to be part of the Anderson family. I had nothing when I arrived at only 16 years old and this family has been good to me. Your father, Elijah is outside in the garden with your mother."

"Thank you, Henry. Come on."

"It's good to meet you."

"Take care, Juliette."

"I think he likes you. Henry has been a great man and I don't think of him as the help."
