Chapter 22

Flynn's POV

I had a call from one of the girls at Queens, telling me to come to the club fast. I didn't know why but I felt my heart stopped beating. Even though I ran 7 blocks to get to the club, pushing people out of the way, I saw the girls outside looking sad and depressed, when they saw me, they turned away and cried as I ran inside. Everyone was down and quiet, I ran as fast as I could when Harper stopped me from my tracks, hugging me and looked at me, her brown eyes that were now red from crying. "She doesn't have time, go."

She lead me to the room where everything was dark, Joanna was in the corner, keeping an eye on her and made her way to the door, "Stay with her for the last time. She asked for you."

She was in bed, having trouble breathing but stayed calm as she slowly turned her head, happy to see me. "I thought... You wouldn't come."

"I ran over here. Eden."

"I remembered... When living in District 37... How I imagine a... A different life then living there. It was stupid... being sick since I was 7. No chance but... I wanted to come here. Live well and forget... Forget the past."

"You've been doing good for two years, then you got..."

"Heh. I don't mind. It's better then to suffer... Then continue living like this. Heh."

"Eden."

"Promise me something, Flynn. Make me a promise."

"Anything. What?"

"Don't spend your time thinking about me, grief for today, let everything out and then tomorrow, move on. Please. Meet someone... Meet someone for you. Please."

"I promise. I promise, Eden!"

"Heh. But first... Kiss me." I didn't think twice, I gave her what she wanted, I gave her a long, passionate kiss that she would remember. I will always love her and never forget about her. I ended the kiss with her smiling for the last time before closing her eyes, taking her last breath. I stayed there, I don't know how long but I stayed there so she couldn't be alone. The door quickly opened, Renny was out of breath and fell to her knees, I turned back to Eden, gave her a kiss goodbye on the forehead and left the room, I turned to see Renny slowly standing up and gave her a hug. I left as Joanna stopped me.

"Eden will be missed. Grive all you want, take the time you need."

"Thank you." I left to buy some booze and drown myself in losing someone important to me. Someone who helped me through the toughest times. Eden. Thinking back how he met Eden in the club when he was 16, she was 19 at the time and she found him interesting and instead of working, they started talking and she was the one who helped Flynn from ending it all. She helped him so much, now she's gone.

Renny's POV

I can't believe she's gone. I was new to the club and she helped me in what to do. She was great and amazing, she got sick when I was 15 and she couldn't stand so she started using a wheelchair. She gave me alot of tips and helped me. She was a great friend, but I wasn't here in time to see her go. Joanna offered me to take some time off and I did. I took some time off and stayed home for a few days, just drinking and grieving from my friend's passing. Days at home was over when the pounding on my door woke me up from my nap, I went to see who it was and damn it. Its my landlord.

"Rent Austin!"

"Damn I forgot. I don't have it now but give me some to get it and..."

"That's the fifth time, girl! Work that body of yours in that club and get me my money! Or your out!"

"You'll get the money soon."

"I better. Or use that body to make me forget."

"You'll get the money." I slam the door at his face, I'm not using my body for him. I don't have enough for him, I have to ask Joanna but I can't. I think of something.
The loud boom from the thunder made me jump, great it's raining, which is fine since I don't work in the rain. I gotta shower then make something to eat.
