Chapter 8

Throwing a party at the MacGregor's estate means a lot. The family throws huge parties that you forget everything else. Joseph use the parties for business and information of the guests that comes to his estate. Fireworks were being fired to start the night and know the name, the name MacGregors.
Everyone who were rich and important were arriving to have a good time, and for those who just wanted to come and pretend that they're rich were arriving as well.
Juliette was watching from her bedroom and threw the pink dress back into her closet and brought out her red dress. I braided my hair and put on my shoes, I looked ready and Elijah entered the room, looked at me and smiled. "You look beautiful. Come on, let's get out there before Margaret comes."

"Right. Come on."

I spotted my father already shaking hands to some men and Alexander nodded. Talking about business as always. Margaret was heading our way and she already looked mad about something.
"Juliette. Your dress, the one I picked out for you."

"Oh yes I didn't wear it because it wasn't me. This is me."

"Juliette."

Elijah immediately cleared the tension as some of the wealthiest families in the districts came to us, as a couple, we welcomed them and I looked at Elijah and gave him a small smile and mounted, thank you. Same with him mounted, no problem.
Margaret was so busy greeting them as we slowly walked away and headed somewhere that didn't have many people.
"Thanks for doing that. I thought we were going to argue again."

"She won't with everyone around. Don't worry, if she tries to do that again, I come and save you from her."

I turned away from as I spotted Renny and Flynn making they're way over to us and I went to Renny. "Thought you had to work tonight? I didn't think you'll be coming."

"I took the night off and I won't be able to see you in the morning and afternoons because I'm going to work but I'm here and ready to anger these people with my charm. And surprise some clients I know that I'm here. This will be fun." The thing Renny loves about parties, is that there will be some of her clients that always surprise to see her, Renny loves it as she tries to have the men uncomfortable and she knows how to push they're buttons. And love to anger the women by just being in the party, a party for well known and rich people, which Renny is not.
She turned around to watch the guests walk by and noticed Renny, the same stare as disgust and annoyed which Renny loves.

"I'm so going to enjoy this party. What would you be doing?"

"Staying with Elijah for everyone since we're married and I'll find you later when I can." Renny motion me to turn around to see Elijah shocked and irritated. His hands running down his hair and talking low to Flynn as if he didn't want to be heard from us.

"Please tell me your wrong. Please."

"You know I'm never wrong. It's gonna happened."

"Damn it!"

"Problem gentleman?"

"No! I mean, no. There's no problem. We were just discussing something but that can wait. Come on, the guests are waiting for us to greet them. Come." Laughing nervously as he took a deep breath and we welcomed and meet the guests. I kept noticing he was nervous and acting strangely, but he immediately put up a smile whenever he looked at me and greeting the guests.

"You gonna tell me why you so nervous?"

"Not so good with alot of people. Oh look, there's the Caraway family. Jealous as ever."

"So jealous of us. But back to you, what's going on?"

"Nothing. Everything is all fine and dandy."
