Throughout the night Matt kept his distance. I'd catch him starring at me or eyeing me up from across the room. At this point it was nearing 3 am and almost everyone had left. "Hey babes, do you need a ride home? I didn't see your car outside." Jason asked. "No, she's gonna stay." Matt said coming up from behind me. Jason just nodded, clearly tired. I waved bye to them and turned around to Matt. We were completely alone now. "So..." he started. "I happened to see Kells and you together." I smirked. "What? Did it bother you?" "You know it did." "Well you don't get to be bothered because as far as I'm concerned this relationship is back to strictly friends with benefits." He laughed, slipping his arms around me. "Baby, this relationship was never strictly anything." He said before kissing me.

And again, I ended up staying the night because even if I try to put boundaries on or relationship it just doesn't work.

"Angel..." I heard Matt groan. I turned over and he was still asleep. I smiled to myself and placed a light kiss on his neck. He stirred slightly before wrapping his arm around me and hugging me closer. "I love you, baby." He mumbled. I was stunned and felt oddly comforted by those simple little words, despite him being asleep. I closed my eyes and relaxed into his arms, my head on his chest.

I woke up and Matt was standing by the corner of the bed, looking down at his phone and humming. "Morning angel." He had a grin on his face even though he hadn't taken his eyes off the phone. "Sometimes you're really creepy." I said, rolling over onto my stomach. It only took a few seconds for his hand to come down hard on my ass. "Fuck." I groaned into the pillow. I rolled back over to see him smiling down at me. "I'm going to start the shower, would you like to join?" He asked. I shrugged. He rolled his eyes, knowing that regardless it was a yes. I watched him walk into the bathroom, sweatpants hanging low on his hips with his eyes glued to the phone again. I sighed, closing my eyes again. "Baby!" He called. I groaned and got up. When I walked in he was already naked. I rolled my eyes playfully and stripped off my shirt and pulled my panties off. He smirked and opened the shower door. I got in, goosebumps raised on my skin as the warm water hit my back. He followed suit and I felt his hands glide down body and stop at my butt.

I got dressed and twirled my hair up into a bun since it was wet. I grabbed my bag, phone, keys and sunglasses before heading towards the door. "Where ya going?" He asked from the top of the stairs. I turned on my heels, looking up at him. "Home." "Not staying?" He asked. I laughed. "Fuck buddies." I reminded. He sighed. "You're gonna keep this up?" He asked, running his hands through his hair. I nodded. "You made your decision. If you want my trust you can earn it." I shrugged, continuing down the stairs. "I said I was sorry!" He called after me. I rolled my eyes to myself, closing the door.

I sighed into my bed and relaxed. I don't even know what I'm doing with myself anymore. I'm stuck in this whirl pool that is Matt and the more I try to distance myself from him the harder it becomes. At this point, all of his friends are my friends now and it would literally be impossible to stay away from him all together.

Addy and I decided to get a late lunch/early dinner so we went to a little Mexican restaurant on the Santa Monica pier and sat outside. "So what happened last night?" She asked. I shrugged. "Nothing really. I stayed the night. I left this morning." She rolled her eyes. "Come on, that's not all." I nodded. "Pretty much. I told him that this is strictly a FWB situation now and that's it." I decided not to tell Addy about the whole saying 'I love you' in his sleep thing. I trust her, that's not the problem, I just don't even know what to make of it. And I'm not going to bring it up to Matt yet.  It really wasn't a huge deal for me and I know it's probably nothing so it's not worth mentioning.

We finished dinner and paid, walking back down the pier. We stood on the side, watching the sunset and the waves. LA usually has a ton of tourists no matter what time of year but surprisingly there weren't a ton of people out tonight.

"I can't believe you're getting married." I breathed. She laughed. "Yeah, me ether." I smiled. "It seems like yesterday when you guys met at the college party and hooked up." "I'll never forget that night." She said twirling her ring on her finger. "Me either." I scoffed. "That was the night Cole got super drunk and dived head first into the beer pong table and I had to take him to get stitches. Then he proceeded to puke on me and I ended up in scrubs." She burst out laughing. "I totally forgot that even happened." "That's because you were a bit preoccupied." I smirked. She grinned.
