Chapter 6

Nicholas and Greyson held onto each other as nurses worked them over to see if anything was wrong. Nicholas was sure he knew why they had thrown up and his brother's attitude towards them had confirmed it when he rushed them to the hospital.

"Nicholas it appears that you and your mate are with child" spoke Maria the nurse checking over a clipboard.

"But how they only just mated, and both of them" Elijah exclaimed grabbing the clipboard. Nicholas watched his brother amused.

"Well of course alpha, omega's are extremely fertile and considering neither is more dominant than the other I assume they switched when mating" explained Maria exasperated taking back her clipboard slightly amused at her alpha.

"Thank you, doctor, do you know how many we'll have" questioned Greyson. Nicholas interlocked his fingers with his mate and ran his thumb over his knuckles.

"Well you both will have at least one or two may be more considering how fertile omega's become in heat" answered Maria looking them all in the eye in turn.

"When will we be able to find out," asked Nicholas concerned for Greyson as he was still a little underweight.

"In about a month and as you are both in the early stages of a werewolves six-month pregnancy and three months after I'll be able to determine the gender accurately" replied Maria her eyes holding adoration at the cutest pair of mates expecting a family she'd seen.

"Do you recommend a pregnancy plan for us?" said Nicholas ready to absorb the information his hand absentmindedly rubbed his stomach watching as Greyson did the same before squeezing each other's hands.

"No stressful environments, no harmful chemicals like bleach or kerosene or lead-based paint and I'm starting you both on vitamins to supplement your new diets. Starting now no alcohol, no seafood and plenty of fresh vegs and red meat. I'll increase caloric intake gradually until an optimum is reached. And when cravings start it's best to act on them as werewolf pups in utero are very particular" explained Maria giving both omega's a stern look.

"We'll make sure to stick to the plans like glue," Nicholas said quickly as he noticed the nurses stern expression.

"I'll have the plans devised in an hour or so, you can wait here or go on with your business," said Maria before waving goodbye leaving the mates and her alpha in the room.

Nicholas observed his brothers expression it was one that showed clear genuine happiness but underlying he could see envy and pain. Nicholas leaned over and sniffed Greyson's hair watching contently as the other omega snuggled closer to him.

"Congratulations little brother, Greyson I happy for you both in gonna be an uncle " Elijah happiness clear in his voice.

"Thank you, Elijah, but we have to go back to sorting invitations and finances for the gala" urged Nicholas knowing that early preparation was key in preventing a fiasco.

"I know but will you be alright that kind of work is stressful" questioned Elijah concern fluttering over his features which Nicholas found heartwarming.

"I've never found it stressful before and with Greyson to keep me sane no doubt there'll be any issue" reasoned Nicholas knowing that Elijah might find his mate in one of these gatherings and his brother deserved happiness.

"Fine but you break every thirty minutes and if you vomit straight to bed with the both of you, deal" Elijah bargained, Nicholas watched the going in his brother's eyes turn protective and it amused him a great deal.

"Deal," both Nicholas and Greyson said together.

The three males then headed back to Elijah's office and resumed their earlier tasks before they went running. Nicholas thrummed his fingers on the keys of his laptop his eyes scanning over numbers and correcting any faults. Every now and again he would look over at Greyson who was drawing away on a fresh canvas a portrait of Brendon who had been in the office when they arrived there.

Nicholas wondered how many pups they'd be blessed with. Then again it was an evolutionary goal omega's had to have children it was an inbuilt urge given to their kind for survival in harsh times. But now Nicholas was just ecstatic to finally be a father and a mother. Nicholas also thought about what he and Greyson would be called by their pups.

"Are you done yet" whined a frustrated Brendon his hold on being patient nearly snapped. Nicholas rolled his eyes at the immaturity of his beta.

"Nearly done just a few more seconds and there" Greyson declared as he turned the canvas. Nicholas watched in intrigue at Brendon's reaction.

"I love how much are you paid at least one hundred an hour right" exclaimed Brendon in awe of the majesty of the painting. Nicholas audibly awed as Greyson cheeks lit up as a blush spread across them.

"I'm not sure yet" Greyson whispered more embarrassed to receive such praise from a high ranking wolf.

"Alpha how much is Greyson being paid for his excellent work" demanded Brendon which caused Nicholas to chuckle and Elijah to sigh.

"We haven't discussed it yet" Spoke Elijah his left hand rubbing through the stubble on his chin in thought.

"We'll discuss it now" Brendon exclaimed in excitement.

"Well since he's a portrait artist you pay him what you think the paintings worth as will all of his customers," Said Elijah which seemed as if a satisfactory answer for Brendon.

"Elijah myself and Greyson are going to turn in for the night there's a busy week ahead and we all need rest" yawned Nicholas as he took off his headset and closed his laptop leaving it on his desk.

"Thanks for your hard work have a good rest" responded Elijah his eyes following both omegas movements as they wrapped an arm around each other and left the room.

Nicholas leads Greyson to their room, both changing for bed and climbing under the covers basking in the presence of each other.

"Grey I'm taking you out on a date tomorrow" whispered Nicholas as Greyson slumped against him sleep claiming its first victim but not before Greyson responded other an ok.

With all the things going on today there was limited time to plan but Nicholas managed it when he'd finished running numbers and started sorting out a place to take Greyson which was heavily guarded by the pack as precious cargo was aboard. This was Nicholas last thought before darkness engulfed him in its tight embrace.

"So they're both pregnant" Brendon clarified when he heard the door to their room close.

"Yes, it seems like they switched a lot during mating" Explained Elijah slightly uncomfortable discussing his brother's experience.

"So what now," asked Brendon protective instincts kicking in for his friend and Greyson who would no doubt be a valuable friend.

"We protect them. Nicholas has set up a date tomorrow and I want you to observe in case things go south. Avoid detection and keep threats at bay. I don't think anything will happen but two pregnant omegas on their own could be in danger if they are incapacitated" Replied Elijah concern warning in his eyes.

"Yes, sir I'll make sure they're safe" responded Brendon in serious mode already formulating a plan to keep a safe distance to be unseen but there if danger rears it's ugly heaits
