Chapter 9

Greyson woke up in wolf form feeling whole and refreshed. Knowing that his new pack will protect him lifted a weight off his shoulders he didn't know he was carrying. His mate in his wolf form sleeping peacefully beside him soft rumbles emanating from Nick's chest as he snuggled closer to Greyson. He then started to lick along Nicholas muzzle watching in amusement as his mate huffed awake. Greyson shifted back to his human form waiting for Nick to do the same.

When Nick transformed Greyson snuggled closer to his mate placing soft kisses along his jaw. The more Greyson explored the more aroused they both became.

"Good morning Grey what's gotten into you" moaned Nicholas as Greyson started sucking on his mark.

"Just excited for tomorrow when we find out how many pups will be having. And I wanted to show how much I appreciate what you did for me yesterday" whispered Greyson.

"That's sweet Grey but I would stick up for you no matter what" explained Nicholas pressing a light kiss to Greyson's cheek.

After a few more shared kisses a knock sounded at the door before Brendon burst into the room with an elated expression. When he spotted the omega's he reached for his phone snapping a pic for them.

"Can we help you?" asked Nicholas tilting his head to the side in confusion. Greyson rolled his eyes at yet another intrusion of their alone time.

"Well since you asked so nicely I'm here to get you both for defense training" Brendon spoke with his beta authority show it was important.

"Why and do you think it's safe for us to train being with pups" whimpered Greyson worried about what defence training would mean for their unborn offspring.

"Yes, the purpose is to defend and avoid from attacks no-one is purposefully going harm a wolf expecting a pup they'd be killed for it" Brendon assured them as he would be the first to kill anyone that purposefully harmed them training or not.

"Ok we'll be down after we get dressed," said Nicholas.

"Be quick training starts in ten and take a shower before you come down your scents might be too much for the warriors" Brendon ordered before walking out and chuckling to himself as his eyes caught their bashful blushing faces.

When Brendon left they managed to get dressed and make it to the training field where the warriors were doing warm-ups. Greyson pressed himself into Nicholas as bad memories of what warriors had once done to him. The scent of his fear so suffocating it made the warriors look over to them in concern.

Greyson felt all eyes turn to him, his legs began to buckle at the intensity of his fear as flashbacks of what he was once used as in a training session. "No no no please I didn't mean to disobey, I won't do it again I promise no no no" Greyson mumbled over and over his breaths coming out in short gasps.

Nicholas watched his mate break down not knowing how to snap him out of it. Greyson's words filtered through his ears and his heart broke for the man he loved. He pulled Greyson flush against him and pressed his lips to Greyson's in desperation. Nicholas poured his love and adoration for Greyson through the kiss. Nicholas smiled into the kiss when Greyson's hands tangled in his hair getting lost in their love. Nicholas pulled away leaving Greyson a blushing mess but calmed significantly.

"I love you so much Nick that was just what I needed," Greyson said with such sincerity that Nicholas' heart skipped a beat.

"I love you too Grey so much that it's suffocating" Nicholas revealed his eyes swirling with emotion.

"Awwe" the word bellowed around them as the leaned into Each other for comfort.

"Back to work, everyone" Brendon growled lightly slightly looking through the pictures he was collecting for his scrapbook.

"Yes beta" the warriors saluted before going back to their stretches and warm-ups.

"Now you two congratulations on the PDA but now it's time to train" spoke Brendon in a softer voice than the one he'd used to address the warriors.

"Yes sir," Nick and Grey said at the same time waiting for Brendon to instruct them.

They spent the next two and a half hours learning basic defence patterns and avoidance techniques. By the end of the Pratice, they were exhausted and watching sparring matches between warriors.

They watched the warriors attack patterns and their movements and the fluidity of their decision making. Every punch, however, had Greyson flinching and every kick elicited small whimpers from Greyson's throat. Nicholas kept his mate from another panic attack by rubbing his fingers over Greyson's slightly rounded stomach and placing Greyson's hand on his slightly rounded stomach.

"Alright training is finished for today you may go about your business. I'll see you at the same time tomorrow. That goes for you two as well exercise is needed for a healthy pregnancy" spoke Bendon.

Nicholas and Greyson then spent the rest of the day waiting for tomorrow to come as the pack doctor had told them she could find put how many pups they'd be having by how many heartbeats.

Elijah being an alpha was extra protective of his mate and she had been with him all day. He had refused to let her go as they still had yet to mark and mate with each other. His inner beast fighting to claim what was his. He had been monitoring training through his office window. A knock sounded at the door and Brendon walked in once he was given permission to enter.

"Alpha how has your time with your mate been" asked Brendon taking in the position of the big bad alpha holding onto his mate. Clinging as if his life depended on it.

"It has been great. Anyway, how was training today" Elijah responded eagerly to hear about the defence training.

"Greyson had a panic attack when he saw the warriors but Nicholas managed to calm him down and they did great they're also very excited about how they'll be finding out the number of their pups tomorrow" relayed Brendon.

"That will be all" Spoke Elijah eloquently as his eyes wandered down to his own mate they had discussed marking today and Elijah's beast was eager to get started.

"As you wish alpha" commented Brendon before leaving the office and getting on with his duties he too was excited for the number to be revealed.
