Chapter 18

Greyson smiled at the antics of his mate and brother in law as they pulled funny faces at the twins Mabel and Blaine. Greyson himself had little Kurt in his arms the twelve-month-old baby was the smallest of all his siblings and often elicited protective responses out of his older brothers and sisters. Hunter, Alexa and Elena were walking with their cousins Dimitri and Damon while Jasmine walked beside Greyson with little Isabella in her arms. Greyson walked to the pack with his family where they met Brendon and Ian Outside along with their pups Harper and Sparrow. Greyson walked over to Brendon who hugged him in greeting being careful of Kurt, their friendship had blossomed over the years.

"Shall we go in then we can't keep everyone waiting forever, and your pups need to head to your own gala and make some friends" Brendon grinned over at the pups when the adults had stopped talking.

Greyson helped Elijah usher all of the pups into the smaller of the two gala halls when they entered they were surprised to see how many packs had actually brought their offspring many parents were still saying goodbye. Greyson walked over to the elderly wolves who were chaperoning and gave Kurt to the woman who would be his carer although he was reluctant. He also saw Nicholas lead Mable and Blaine over to a ball pit as he asked another elderly couple to keep an eye out for them. And finally, it was the older pups turn.

"Now you pups have fun and no fighting with each other under any circumstances" Greyson spoke to which all the older pups nodded before they all ran off through the room to the toys that were provided for them.

"Well dear, we have to get going they'll be fine" Nicholas reassured Greyson who was not keen on leaving their youngest child here.

"Alright, I'm coming" Said Greyson with one last look towards his son before following his mate to the adults gala hall.

As they journeyed towards the hall Greyson got a feeling of fore boarding that he did not like one bit. When they reached the main hall it was packed with visiting packs from alphas and betas and their warriors. The twenty or so omegas that Elijah had saved a few years ago were all present finally healed enough to see if they had a mate out there. Greyson was worried though what if their new mates didn't accept the pups the omegas already had. Elijah broke from their group with jasmine as he headed towards the stage.

"Welcome packs for far and wide, we invite you to enjoy our annual gala. Some of you may have already noticed the unusual number of omegas within the pack, your alphas have all had details and would have told you. They are here to look for their mates but it is their choice whether or not they leave their home here is their choice" Elijah spoke steadily his eyes a steely gaze at the wolves checking out the omegas.

"I would also like to say that my brother and his mate Greyson already have their bond" Elijah continued as he spotted serval lower-ranking warriors cast their eyes towards his brother and Greyson.

Once the speeches' were out of the way Greyson lead Nicholas over to the buffet table. They both loaded up some plates and went to sit at one of the smaller tables with their food. As they looked on several of there omega friends were being approached by males and females alike would then no doubt lead them towards their pups in the other room after telling their new mates what had once happened to them.

"So love how do you feel about the triplets going to school in September this year," Nicholas asked as he places a piece of food to his lips"

"I'm worried, our family spends an awful lot of time in wolf form and didn't you say that humans go to this school as well" Replied Greyson scratching the back of his head in thought.

"They'll be fine as long as we say that they aren't allowed to transform at school I'm sure they'll understand in time" Nicholas spoke placing a kiss to Greyson's lips.

"The twins are turning three soon as well" Greyson added as he took a bite out of his own meal.

"And little Kurt he's only six months old, you have a soft spot for him don't you love" Nicholas probed.

"It's just that he's so young and he doesn't have a sibling his own age" Greyson whispered a blush spreading over his cheeks.

"What about little Isabella she is around his age I'm sure they'll grow to be great friends" Nicholas concluded at which Greyson kissed his mates forehead.

As they continued their meal and conversation they soon got onto what would happen as their older pups finally discovered their alpha ranks and what that would mean for their futures. They talked unaware of the envious eyes watching them from all around the room. They hadn't noticed but Elijah sure had and was inching his way over to their table in case things took an aggressive turn. Greyson pulled Nicholas onto his lap before placing a kiss to his mark which caused Nicholas to have to stifle a moan.

"Two can play at that game love just remember you started it" Nicholas husked before he claimed Greyson's lips in a hungry kiss although he did not aim to dominate.

"Come on Nick we're in public" panted Greyson as Nicholas trailed open mouth kisses over his throat.

"So let them see our claim on one another, they're are staring and it's making my wolf itch to claim you all over again" Nicholas whispered into Greyson's ear having finally noticed the lust-filled stares of several of the unmated warriors.

"Okay" Greyson moaned and then they ended up in a full-blown make-out session.

"Brother I think that's enough, why don't you both go check on your pups" Elijah sated as he finally reached them.

"Alright" Nicholas giggled as he got up of Greyson's lap and pulled Greyson up with him before they bounded out of the hall and they heard a collective sigh of relief.

When they arrived at the pups gala hall they were unsurprised to see the majority of the pups in wolf form. What they were surprised to see was that the pups had organised themselves into ranks with their pups leading the charge and their cousins right next to them. The watched the dominance display for a while and figure out the pups weren't hurting each other they went over to the elderly wolves who were watching Mable, Blaine and Kurt. As they watched the pups interact in wolf form it was clear to see which other pups theirs had made friends with. They stayed there until the gala ended and the other parents came to pick up their pups before going home.
