{Cason's Pov}
I woke up with a smile tugging at the corners of lips when Casey woke me up pulling at my hair. Usually I'd be slightly irritated at my lil sister when she did it but it didn't bother me as much today.
Last night I'd dreamed of Ash. It was a simple dream with just the two of us at a garden picnic but the dream was enough to make me happy.
After I was done brushing and showering, I sat on the dining table along with Casey for breakfast. Casey was having a project to deal with and I was more than happy to help her out. She gave me a tight hug as I completed arranging the model so that it resembled a forest.
"Since when did you like my nature projects Cason?" Casey asked me with an innocent smile. Usually I'd help her with all her projects if she didn't get them right but never her nature related ones. I simply didn't know how to.
"I don't know but now I do" I replied with a mysterious smirk.
"Is it because of Josephine?" my 11 year old sister said teasing me. I and Josephine had been closest of friends since our 3rd grade. She and I had been paired together a lot of times before we changed schools and at a point I actually thought I had a crush on her. But as I grew up, I realised it was an mere attraction induced cause of everyone portraying us as a couple. And I for sure knew Josephine loved me, but only as a friend.
"No Casey, believe me it's nothing to have to do with Josephine." I said chuckling.
I could freely talk to my sister and Josephine without any fake walls I'd built just because I was used to their familiarity."Hmm so what's changed, who is it?" she asked curiously. As the words left her mouth, the memory of sandalwood scent masked by the smell of chlorine came to my mind.
"No one Casey..." I said sheepishly. My mom brought us delicious Pasta for breakfast and asked Casey to focus more on her project rather than on my girl interests. I snickered to this but also grimaced as it wasn't exactly a girl interest.
As I ate the pasta, I was reminded of the times I'd eaten the food that the innocent nerd had cooked. He was actually good at it, though he didn't really acknowledge it.
Two days back, I had invited him to my house and my grandmother had approved of him, well atleast as my friend which had calmed my nerves for now. I don't really know what I'm doing, I've always acted on instinct and so was I acting now.
After I was done with my food, I took my bag and took off on my Harley to college, thinking of how he woud be riding his cycle the same path later this noon. I'd have to think of an excuse to meet him though...

I was in my geometry class, sitting beside Matthew and Daniel. We had been together in our previous school and had ended up together here.
My phone buzzed and there were still five minutes of the class left but I was anticipating the text and was too eager to wait.
So I decided to see it under my desk, signaling Matthew to look out for me which he hesitantly did. He was a comparatively more sincere guy than me and rarely participated in stuff that was against the rules. Can't say the same for me.
'Hey, I'm done with HP: 1'
'💯'
'It's good' he replied immediately. His break started five minutes before me so I knew he had texted me as soon as he got out of the class.
