{Asher's Pov}

I sighed as I saw my dad's car leave. It was May 30th, the Prom day...Damn why do I make it sound like it was an ominous day from Alice in Wonderland (the movie).

It was supposed to be summer but alas!! We were having an unusual hailstorm cause of a cyclone that was causing a havoc on the sea which ravaged the shore three towns away.

I turned around and sat on the huge white patio as Zeus had asked me to.
Mr and Mrs Dumas were home and not just him or Leah but even Nia had suggested me to not go in lest I be a target for them. And here I thought my parents were harsh...

My mom, after finding that Leah was going to be my date, ofcourse undoubtedly gave me a weird look...well I myself have mixed feelings about this, no doubt she has too.

I shivered as a gust of cold wind blew past me and some snow as well. I rubbed my hands as I shifted closer to the glowing torch of fire that was placed on the side of the wooden door. Whenever I look at the Greek decor of the Dumas mansion, I can't help but feel like being in the Athens setup in the PS2 game of God of War. Ahemm... Well I already said I wasn't a complete geek.

I watched as the snowflakes floated through the wind before mixing with the snow that covered the ground. The snow and the resplendent scenes before me along with the nervous anticipation I had regards the prom seemed so unreal and yet it was just as much real as my heartbeat.

The doors opened with Leah stepping out wearing a cosy fur sweater on her flowy white dress.

"Finally!!" I cheered while she and I both laughed before hopping into the limo that was waiting near the fountain

"Finally!!" I cheered while she and I both laughed before hopping into the limo that was waiting near the fountain.

"The fountain's not frozen yet?" I asked as Leah took off her coat and let out an audible sigh.

"Nope, the fish in it are from marine waters so it's salty water..." Leah replied to me before asking the driver to drive. I kept looking at the fountain through the window as it's waters glimmered in the golden lights.

"I thought you were gonna make Zeus drive us ?" I pointed out after giving Mr Henry a curt salute before we took off while a slightly mischevious smile danced on my face.

"Well he bailed on us... He says he has some plans," Leah responded with a roll of her eyes that had some highlights done on them.

"You sure are a fashionista," I commented making Leah smile.

"It's the only thing my mother actually was interested in," Leah muttered with a sad smile. Though now things were much better between Dumas siblings and their parents now, it hadn't been so when Leah was younger and as she'd told me, her interest in fashion was only because of the fact that it was the only thing her mother would be excited about to do with her.

I felt my heart clench slightly at the thought of having my parents not be interested in me the way they were.... But would they still be if they knew the whole truth...?
