Chapter 6

This year's Christmas dinner, they had agreed to wear all white. Therefore Clarisse put on her white babydoll dress and floral heels.

"Hey ! Little one, you have arrived!", greeted Harry, the leader of their community.

"Merry christmas everyone", Clarisse said happily.

"Come here, come here, I have saved a spot for you. Right in front of the food", said Zoey, one of the influencers in the city.

Both Kaylee and Clarisse were in the same community and it was how they knew each other before Kaylee took Clarisse as her manager in the main office. The community that they were in was a community where the youngsters gathered and worshipped God. In short, they were a group of people who were religious.

In the community, most of them were the elites or the professionals, and even the influencers and the only one who had the lowest social status was Clarisse as she was only a mere manager. However, they didn't underestimate her or ridicule her. They even amazed by how amazing and mature she was in her young age which was only 23.

"So Kaylee, have you found hot guy for our little one?", asked Gina, the beauty doctor.

"Huh..I had to drag her to the party", Kaylee complained.

Clarisse smiled and shook her head "I walked there myself."

"After I used my authority as her superior", Kaylee explained.

Peter, the owner of the restaurant where they were, took some food and put them on my plate "Don't force her, she is still so young"

Most of the community members were in relationship, some even had gotten married. Thus, they were quiet concern toward Clarisse who was still single for 23 years. She had never been in relationship though she was beautiful and smart.

In a penthouse in the States, a man in his navy bathrobe was sitting on his black leather armchair facing the giant floor-to-ceiling window. His tranquility made everyone who saw him felt dominated. Behind him, Louis was standing with some files in his arms.

"These are some documents that you need to sign"

"..."

"And about the thing that you ask for.."

Kevin turned around showing his face as soon as he heard what Louis would tell.

"..She is 23, a finance manager in the main office directly under Ms.Kaylee. She was scouted after being a manager trainee in one of Alpha's subsidiaries. Her name is Clarisee Ang."

Kevin didn't response to Louis' report. After a moment of silence, he took his phone and dialed to a number. Not taking so long, the other had answered.

"You punk, now you know how to call?", though Kevin didn't put his phone in loudspeaker mode, Louis was still able to hear clearly whose voice it was.

" I'll do as you wish"

Both the one that he phoned and Louis were shocked to death. Theu didn't dare to believe what they heard. What did he mean by I'll do as you wish? Did he mean that he would take care of the Alpha Corporation?

"But.. You are not allowed to intervene in anything that I decide or do"

He paused for a moment.

"Both in the company and my private life."

He deliberately stressed when he mentioned private life.

Listening to this, Louis knew well what made the invicible young master did thing that he avoided so much. Back then, he even gave an ultimatum to the chairman not to act sick if he still wanted him as his grandson. Several weeks ago, he deliberately came late to the party so the chairman couldn't announce him as the heir.

Later at night, he absorbed in his work. As he had decided to go back to his hometown, he needed to take care things in the States before. He pinched the bridge of his nose, looking at the clock which pointed at three. He then turned his computer off. However, he didn't go straight to his bed. He turned to the giant floor-to-ceiling window which was behind him.

He had been bothered by the same person for several weeks. He couldn't get her off from his mind. Her desperate look, her queen-like demeanor, her tigress side, her friendly look to her elegance side. He couldn't help but smiled whenever he thought of her. Actually how many sides do you have, Clarisse Ang ?
