Chapter 50

After the dinner, Clarisse excused herself as she felt it wasn't good if she stayed until late night. Karina though had recovered a lot, she still needed to take a rest. She drove in the evening so she thought that she would drive back herself as well and not to tire Kevin, but Kevin would of course oppose her idea. No matter how tired he was, he would never let her go home herself. So, Clarisse sat in his car after she lost in the argument.

"Wife.. don't you think that you need to explain?"

"Huh? What kind of explanation?"

"It seems that wife is so rush to be the Lou's daughter-in-law"

Clarisse blushed. Did I cross the bottom line? Should I not have done so?

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to cross your bottom line. I won't meet your family without your permission in the future."

Hey! Wait! What kind of misunderstanding is this? How could she feel sorry?

"What sorry are you talking about? Don't you know how happy I am to see you are close to my family ?"

"Huh?"

Kevin sighed. "Could your brain stop thinking too much? How can it process my words to this kind of misunderstanding state?"

"Hey! Are you saying that I'm stupid?"

"You said yourself."

"Huh.. can't you not say it so casually?"

"Then... should I whisper it to your ears?"

"Try it if you dare."

The car stopped as there was red light. Kevin took the chance to lean over her ears and whispered.

"I love you"

The blood immediately rushed to her small face. The sweetness spreaded all over her heart.

Clarisse grew up with a lot of admirers. To handle sweet talks from men was nothing for her, but it was of course different when the man who talked sweetly was Kevin.

"Don't play around anymore, drive safely", she advised.

She tried to calm herself by saying those useless words. If other men heard them, they would think she was heartless, but not Kevin. He obviously knew she deliberately hid her shyness which provoked his man hormone.

"Say it"

She turned around and found her face was so close to his.

"I love you", he stated

"Me too", she answered shyly.

Kevin couldn't help but pounded toward her and kissed her all his might. He didn't let her go until she was breathless. His forehead was stuck on hers, their noses were stuck too each other.

Fortunately, it was near mid-night so there were almost no cars on the road or else they would be scolded.

"Say it properly."

Clarisse was so busy catching her breath that she couldn't mind him. When she felt that the man was coming closer, she stopped him.

"I love you"

The man who heard it smiled beautifully, but he couldn't help but kissed her another round. He leaned and gave her a kiss on her forehead after the passionate kiss.

"You knew that why do you need to force me to say it?" , Clarisse complained.

"Because I love you that's why I love to hear you say I love you to me"

What kind of reason is that ???? Clarisse rolled her eyes.

Kevin laughed at her and stepped on the pedal and drove back home.

For the past few weeks, both the lovebirds' routines were working and visiting Karina. Actually, Karina was fine enough to be discharged but her family wouldn't permit until they saw that she was okay in their eyes which took her another 5 weeks to stay in the hospital. Thanked to the Lou family members who took turns to accompany her that she didn't feel bored living there.

Meanwhile in the company, there was a manager trainee program which each trainee would take turn to be the assistant director of each department. As a finance director, Clarisse also had the task to train those trainees.

"Hello, my name is Olivia."

"Hello. You can call me Ms.Clarisse. Here are the recent financial reports. Analyze them and state your decision making for each problem."

"Okay"

"If there is anything that you are not sure, you can ask me."

"Okay.. if there is nothing else, then I'll go back first"

"En"

Since the first glance, Clarisse was satisfied with Olivia. She had the hunch that this young girl would be able to get the job. She could also see her ownself in Olivia, thus she would like to encourage the little girl.
