In Time

Chapter 44

After having breakfast, Kevin brought Clarisse somewhere else.

"Where are we going?", Clarisse asked curiously in the car.

Kevin turned his head to her and smiled "You'll know after we arrive."

Soon they arrived in a skyscrapper which was not a branch of A Corporation. Clarisse was dumbfound. Why does he bring me here?

Kevin seemed to be able to read her mind " I am one of the shareholders here."

Clarisse was speechless. How rich is he?

A warm palm then brought her back to the reality. However, Clarisse stopped in the midway. Kevin turned back to look at her nervous face.

"Can I not go with you?"

"..."

"I'll be bored"

"Then, where do you want to go?"

"I'll just stroll around"

Kevin knew that "boring" was only a lie. He knew that she still didn't want to announce their relationship. He wouldn't force her to do anything that she didn't wish to, so he let her escape that time.

"Okay.. don't go too far."

She immediately walked away as she feared Kevin would change his mind. However, she stopped and walked back to his side. Kevin who had been looking for her smiled. Does she change her mind? Does she want to announce to others that she is mine?

"I didn't bring my wallet just now, could you lend me some money?", she asked him like a little child begging for candies.

Kevin couldn't help but smiled. His expectation was ruined, but he didn't feel any disappointments. Ironically, he felt that she was super damn cute. He fished out his wallet and took out a black card.

"Buy anthing you want."

Is this the legendary unlimited card? Actually, how rich is he that he can possess this card? Clarisse couldn't help, but gasped. She felt a little sour in her heart. How long have I been working, but I am still an ordinary worker?

"Sure. Just prepare yourself to receive a lot of notifications." She grinned widely and said those words like a fox before running away.

Kevin only helplessly shook his head with a big smile plastered on his face. He would feel pleasure if she would buy things with his money, after all which man wouldn't feel good if he could buy things for the woman he loved ? It was just, would Kevin be lucky ? After all, his woman was not an ordinary woman who would like to rely on him 100%.

Windowshopping was one of her hobbies if she was not in lazy mood, so that very moment was kind of relaxing for her. She silently thanked the God.

After strolling for quiet a while, she checked her phone and there was still no message from Kevin. She decided to wait for him in a nearby coffee shop. She ordered a cup of hot chocolate and paid it with the black card. Actually, she was a little embarassed. Who on this earth that pay a cup of hot chocolate using black card ?

Meanwhile, Kevin who was in the middle of shareholder meeting got a notification that his card was used. Looking at the ammount of purchasing, he smiled. Is that the only thing that she wants?

Looking at the usual cold figure smiled, the fellow shareholders couldn't help but found it weird. What kind of happy occasion that happens which can make him smile?

Clarisse who was playing her phone while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate didn't realize that a man was coming closer to her. When she realized, the handsome had taken a seat in front of her.

"How could you know that I'm here?", she was startled to find Kevin was sitting in front of her.

"I can find you wherever you are."

Cheesy. That might be the way Clarisse described those words in the past, but hearing them from Kevin melted her whole person. And for the reason why Kevin could find her easily was because he previously sent his hidden bodyguards to guard her. He would never let her in any danger, but he also didn't want to let her to feel that she was in captivity.

"So, where do you want to go next?"

"Will you accompany wherever I go?"

"For sure."

"Then, let's go back to the hotel."

"..."

"You didn't sleep well last night."

She was a little guilty that he hadn't had a good rest for her immature behaviour last night which made him look so tiring that day.

"I'm fine."

"Then, I'm tired. Let's go back."

He didn't want to go back if he was behind the reason, then let her use herself to let him rest for the day.

Kevin helplessly followed her, but he couldn't deny that he felt sweet inside.
