Chapter 48

The next morning, Kevin accompanied her to send her mom and aunt to the airport. Before the departure, her mom had a private talk with Kevin.

"I hand her in your care."

"I'll take care of her, auntie."

In the way back from the airport, Clarisse was curious what Kevin talked about with her mom.

"What did my mom say?"

"Marry my daughter as soon as possible."

"Hey!"

He strecthed his arm and patted her head.

"What do you want for lunch?"

"Sushi?"

"Fine"

Therefore, Kevin drove her to her favourite restaurant and ordered a private room for both of them. Kevin prepared all the utensils in front of her, doting her like a little child.

"How is your little sister?", she asked while munching her food.

"She will arrive tomorrow."

The reason why Kevin had just come back after a little while was because Karina had still been in comma state. Therefore, as soon as Karina was conscious and was determined to be okay by the doctors, the Lou family immediately arranged for her transfering back to the hometown.
Kevin had the responsibility to arrange stuff in the hometown to welcome Karina and family, thus he came back earlier than them.

"As long as she is okay.", Clarisse consoled.

"Sorry for making you worry."

Clarisse smiled. She could understand that in that kind of condition, no one would have mood to call or chat if it was not urgent. However, she still felt a little bad. "It's okay, family comes first." Those words were the words that she kept on telling herself for the past two weeks because he couldn't be blamed at all.

However, Kevin who heard felt sour in his heart. For him, his family is important, but it didn't mean that he would make her as number 2. Why do her words make her become less important? He really wanted to show her how important she was, but there wouldn't be any words that were able to describe it.

"You will be one soon."

Yes. She would definitely be one of his family. She would be his wife, and she would be his priority and no one would be able to oppose it.

Hearing him said so, Clarisse face immediately blushed as if all her blood rushed to her face. This man can always turn my words unexpectedly.

Some said that the time that spent with your loved ones would pass so fast that you couldn't help but sighed. That was what both of the lovebirds felt.

The next day, Kevin didn't go to the company but rushed to the airport to welcome the Lou family. He needed to send Karina to their hospital which had been arranged before.

Meanwhile, Clarisse was sitting in the middle of the cafetaria listening to gossips from her subordinates. Although she had taken the chair as director, their personal relationships were still as before.

"Hey.. I think yesterday I saw big boss with his girlfriend."

"Where?"

"At XX Restaurant"

"How does his girlfriend look?"

"I couldn't see her face,but she looked beautiful from the back."

"Oh my god, there is another good man taken."

"Even big boss hasn't been taken, he won't fall for you."

"Hey!!"

"But, I think his girlfriend looks familiar."

Clarisse stiffened upon hearing that. She bowed her head lower while digging her food.

"Really? Who does she look like?"

"She looks like Ms.Clarisse."

Everyone immediately looked at her direction, and she couldn't help but coughed. Is this how it feels being caught red-handed?

"I think you saw the wrong person", Clarisse said.

"I don' think so"

"I mean.. if big boss really was seen in the restaurant, then he would be in the office now. Do you think that you can still sit here chatting if he has come back?"

Clarisse tried to explain as logically as possible. No one knew that Kevin came back and didn't come to the company because he had things to do except her.

"You are right, probably I saw the wrong person."
