Chapter 49

That whole day, Kevin accompanied his little sister as the elders needed to take a good rest. In the evening when their parents came to visit Karina, he went to buy dinner for the whole family. He also thought of picking Clarisse up to visit Karina.

Meanwhile, Clarisse who had finished her work drove to the hospital. She called Kevin when she arrived, but he didn't answer. She was considering whether to go in herself or to wait in her car when Grandpa Lou and Grandma Lou saw her.

"Little girl, you are here", screamed Grandma Lou.

"Grandma", she gently addressed and turned to call Grandpa Lou as well.

"Where's the little bastard?", asked Grandpa Lou while looking behind her searching for his grandson.

"How could you call your own grandson that way?",Grandma Lou protested.

Clarisse only smiled "He didn't pick up my phone."

"He was probably busy. Come, just join us", Grandma Lou invited.

Clarisse thought that it was rude if she declined so she braved herself and followed the old pairs into the VIP room.

At the same time, Kevin who just got into his car swiped open his phone that he had left when he bought the dinner. He saw that Clarisse called him several times which he immediately reached back.

"Hello", he heard the gentle sound from the other side.

"I left my phone in the car just now.", he immediately explained.

"I just called to ask which room Karina is hospitalized."

"Are you in the hospital? I was about to pick you up."

"I'm here. I met Grandpa and Grandma so they led the way."

"Hey brother, don't worry..your woman is safe here. Quickly come back, I'm hungry.", he then heard another woman's voice from the other side and he knew well who it was.

"Okay, I'm coming"

He quickly rushed back to the hospital. He had never liked to go to the hospital no matter what the occassion was, but it was different this time. The people that he loved were all waiting there, so he felt warm in his heart.

When he opened the door of the VIP room where Karina was hospitalized, he saw his little angel holding a little figure with white bunny jacket in her laps in front of another little woman who was sitting on the bed. When the woman saw him, she screamed happily.

"Brother, you've come back. What took you so long?"

He walked into the room leisurely with several bags of plastic in his hands. He put the things on the big table on the other side of the room.

"Where are the others?"

"Lounge room"

Right, the VIP room was indeed big. There was lounge room which was able to hold the whole of Lou family there.

"Uncle K, I miss you.",the little bunny immediately strecthed her little arms when she saw him walking to their side.

Kevin picked her up and kissed her soft cheek. "I miss you ,too"

"I will call the elders to eat", Clarisse stood up.

When she passed Kevin, she heard his hoarse voice teased her. "Such a good daughter-in-law"

No one knew how much Kevin suppressed his beast nature when he saw his little angel was so comfortable around his family. He could feel the complete familial feeling and he couldn't deny that it felt so warm. If just there hadn't been his sister and his niece, he would have kissed the woman without any remains.
