I was at home, sick. I wasn't actually sick, but I was suffering from terrible period cramps. Brendon stayed home today too, just to make sure I was okay. It was very sweet.
"You know you don't have to stay home right? it's just pain, Brendon." He sat down beside me on the couch and handed me a heating pad. I smiled in return and gently placed it on my lower abdomen. He rubbed my leg and took a sip of his glass of water.
"C'mon, baby, you're in pain, I know it's just period cramps but you were in a lot of pain this morning and I don't want you bearing that alone." I couldn't contain myself, the smile just popped up on my face.
"Here, bring me to bed and we can cuddle." His eyes lit up at the idea. She shoved his hands under my back and picked me up bridal style, carrying me, my heating pad, and my blanket to our bedroom. He plopped me down on the bed and hopped in beside me. I placed the pad back down to the areas with the most pain and turned to face Brendon.
"Hi..." he whispered softly, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. I looked at how absolutely attractive he is, giggling at how beautiful he is.
"Hi..." I whispered back, scooting closer to him. His hands found my waist as he pressed multiple kisses to my cheek. I groaned as the pain started to kick in. My intestines felt like they were getting tied up in a knot. I groaned loudly and started to stir.
"Do you want me to cook you something?" The whisper sent a satisfying shiver down her spine. I turned her head to look at Brendon, who smirked in return.
"Yes baby, that would be amazing!" Slowly, I started to place my hands on his cheeks, moving down to the slight stubble he had growing on his face. He puckered his lips jokingly, yet I started to lean in. He chuckled before wrapping his arms around the small of my back, pressing his soft lips against mine. I grunted harshly as another sharp pain stabbed through my abdomen. I let go and started to wince. Brendon kissed my forehead softly before getting out of bed.
"What would you like me to make you?" Looking up at the ceiling, I thought for a hard moment.
"Eggos," Brendon burst into laughter and shook his head no.
"Are you sure? What are you in the mood for? Sweet? Salty? I'll cook you up anything. I'll even run to the store to grab the ingredients." My heart jumped in my chest as I felt my cheeks go hot.
"Anything? I guess I'm in the mood for something sweet..." He nodded and walked out of the room, heading off into the kitchen. Brendon was the sweetest man I had ever met. Sometimes I thought I was dreaming because it was surreal how perfect he was. It's like he was keeping something from me and was charming me to cover it up. Nah. Pots and pans banged around as he searched for whatever he was looking for.
I grabbed the remote and flipped it to Netlifx, browsing whatever was on my suggested list. I closed my eyes for a brief moment and listened closely as Brendon sang in the kitchen.
"Babe!" He yelled from the kitchen, but his footsteps indicated he was walking into the room. He walked up to the bed, sitting down beside me.
"I'm missing a few ingredients, do you mind if I run to the store across the street and grab some ingredients real quick?" I shook my head no and smiled.
"Of course not sweetie, and could you buy me a Doctor Pepper while you're out?" He smiled, pressing a kiss to my cheek.
"Of course, can I get you some Midol while I'm out? There's a pharmacy in the store." There was no explanation for how I felt about this man. He would do anything just to please me, and I felt the need to do the same for him.
"You don't need to, but if it's not troubling you, I wouldn't mind some." Standing back up on his feet, Brendon tucked his shirt in and examined himself in the mirror.
"Anything for my princess," I felt my heart rate pick up as those words left his mouth. After I heard the door close, signalling he left the apartment, I felt myself getting tired. The pain definitely wasn't helping, so maybe sleeping on it would make me feel better.

Two strong hands slowly shook me, trying -and successfully- waking me up. My eyes opened and Brendon was sitting on the edge of the ed, flashing his famous grin.
"Your foods on the counter, along with your Doctor Pepper and a new bottle of Midol." He kissed the top of my head and grabbed my hand, guiding me out of bed. Once I was fully on my feet, he picked me and tossed me over his shoulder, chuckling as I yelped. Giggling, I hung upside down until he sat me down on one of the barstools, turning to me to face the counter. On the counter, there was a beautiful, delicious-looking swiss roll cake, a two-litre of Doctor Pepper, two bottles of Midol and a beautiful bouquet of pink daisies. The sight had me at a loss for words and a big appetite. Brendon sat down beside me and smiled, cutting into the cake. He placed a piece on a plate and handed it to me, accompanied by a fork.
"Bon appetite!" The fork cut through the piece perfectly. I took a bite and moaned out loud, causing Brendon to cackle.
"How is it?" He questioned, opening up one of the bottles of Midol for me.
"It tasted like Heaven! Honey, you didn't need to do all of this for me..." shaking his head no in protest, he placed a hand on my thigh.
"No, you deserve everything this world has to offer and I'm just trying to show you that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta go to the little boy's room." We both laughed at his use of terminology. The bathroom door closed and I took another bite from the cake. It tasted amazing. I opened up the Doctor Pepper and took a sip, feeling it burn as the carbonated drink bubbled down my throat. Beside me was the bag, n which I assume Brendon used to buy the ingredients. I opened it up and looked inside. There was nothing but the receipt. I unfolded it and looked at what he purchased, out of sheer boredom. Icing sugar, milk chocolate chips, two-litre Doctor Pepper, a bouquet of daisies, two bottles of Midol and...
"A prescription of Amiodarone...?" I talked to myself, quietly so Brendon couldn't hear me. I pulled out my phone and Googled the drug. My heart dropped once I figured out what it was for.
Heart conditions...
