If you haven't read it here's a short summary

Summary of part 1 : Y/n is Malcolm's twin sister and Finn's best friend and the girl he loves ( but she doesn't know it.). He grew up with Malcolm and Y/n and they've always been close. One day the hate y/n gets from her best friend's fans is too much for her heart and she kills herself. Leaving Finn, and Malcolm broken but still chasing their dreams.

Note : y/n killed herself JUST as Calpurnia was starting up so they weren't as big as they are now. ( they didn't have the EP out sooo)

  It was officially six months without y/n. The aftermath of her death left her friends and family broken.

Calpurnia was barely a thing then , but even so y/n supported her brother and best friend endlessly. She was always there to help write songs for their EP they started to write.

What fans don't know is Y/n wrote waves with Finn. If you listen to some of the lyrics you can hear some of the pain. She wanted Ayla to sing it because she adored Ayla's voice. Everyone around y/n loved her but just not Finn's fans. They called her horrible names and it tortured her for months.

  Finn never saw it so he couldn't stop it. He now feels guilty about it and was distant from social media for awhile. While he took a break he wrote a The last song for the EP, he wrote Greyhound about her.

He got inspiration for it from how him , y/n , and Malcolm use to go to concerts together all the time ever since they were kids. Y/n loved music just as much as Finn and she also had a small passion for it but only for writing songs. 

  So that's why the song talks about how someone is going to a concert without someone and they can't explain it. It's all about y/n and Finn wrote it while having a breakdown.

And for the first time , it's time for Finn to play Greyhound at a concert for the fans who took away his sweet y/n.

Finn is now backstage getting ready to perform , it's Calpurnia's first major concert. They've picked up some steam and could really go places.

  " this next song is Greyhound." Finn says into the mic earning screams from fans.

  Finn sings and zones out a little. The fans are dancing and well screaming , Finn can barely hear them since he's zoned out staring at the V.I.P booth where his friends and family are dancing.

   He snaps out of it and continues to play and sing. He noticed the Fans enjoying the song and it brings tears to his eyes.

  Finn starts to sing the next verse as he looks back up to the box hoping to see y/n dancing too.
