A/N: So I was cleaning out my room, and I came across a few small papers folded up and stapled together. I unfolded them to realize it was a short story I wrote on June 2, 2015, when I was 10 years old. So this was the end of 5th grade.

What I'm going to do is type out, word for word, the story. Then, I'm going to revise it to how I'd write it now, but keep it pretty much the same.

Heere's the original story:

(3rd POV)

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Maria. She was a small girl with glasses and braces. Everyone thought of her as a nerd, and nobody liked her.

It was the beginning of 10th grade. There was a boy at school named Jordan. He was the nicest boy Maria met.

One day, somebody was bullying Maria, and everybody just said fight. Maria didn't want to fight, but she was too shy to say so.
(A/N: I'm pretty sure I meant to say 'otherwise'.)

She was backed into a corner, and the bully was about to punch her. He pulled back his arm and, as fast as he could, 'WHAM!' he punched.

You would expect to see Maria against the corner, hurt, but she was nowhere to be seen.

While the bully was halfway to Maria in the corner, Jordan grabbed her hand and ran away. Maria, shocked, stood outside by Jordan. She looked at him.

He smiled and said, "I saved you. You're okay."

Maria smiled but then asked, "Why? Why did you save me? Mike [the bully] will be really angry with you."

Jordan said, "I saved you because I got bullied at my old school and I would never wish thag upon another living soul. I just...." He stopped. Then he smiled and said, "I just thought you were cute on the first day of school and I didn't want anything to happen to you."

Maria smiled, hugged him, then said, "I liked you too. You are the only person who is nice to me. I really wanted to talk to you but I was too shy."

Jordan smiled a cute smile. He said, "So does that mean-"

"That we're boyfriend and girlfriend!?" Maria interrupted. She then blushed and said, "I mean that we're friends, right?"

Jordan did that cute smile again and said, "It does mean we're friends, but it also could mean that we might date."

Maria couldn't be happier. "Huh!? I have a boyfriend!?!? Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!"

Jordan hugged her and said, "Don't thank me, thank yourself. You being yourself is what brought us together."

Maria said, with tears in her eyes, "I love you."

Jordan and his sweet smile said, "I love you too."

THE END

A/N: Yikesss that was pretty bad. Now, imma retype it to how I'd write this if I just made it up today.

(3rd POV)

Down the hall, by her locker, you could see the one and only Maria. She was quite shorter than the average girl her age, and she wore glasses, which complemented her braces. She wasn't liked by very many people, as they all knew she was a nerd.

Maria was only a few months into 10th grade when she formally met the new kid. The boy was named Jordan, and he was the nicest teen Maria had ever met.
