(Whizzer's POV)

I woke up early in the morning, to find myself cuddling with Marvin, as he gazed at me wide awake. I immediately smiled, making him smile.

"Good morning." I said slightly amused by his face.

"Good morning, Whiz. Happy birthday!" Marvin excitedly hugged me.

"Oh yeah! It is my birthday, huh? Well thank you!" I laughed, getting out of bed and stretching. I completely forgot it was my birthday. "Come on, Marv! Let's make me a birthday breakfast!" I said excitedly, skipping out of the room and into the kitchen.

Marvin soon followed suit, helping me make pancakes with sprinkles in the mix, eggs, and bacon. Once everything was done, we served ourselves and sat at our table.

"So...." I started, a grin climbing across my face.

"A needle pulling thread-" Marvin started singing before I cut him off, trying to hold back my laughter and failing miserably.

"Now, I don't like assuming things.... But I'm hoping you got me something for my birthday?" I asked, really hoping Marvin got me something.

"Oh, I sure did." Marvin grinned, chuckling lightly.

"Ooooh, really? Where is it? What is it?!" I started asking questions out if excitement.

Look, I know it sounds childish, but Marvin is always wonderful on my birthday. He treats me like the only man on this world, and he always gives me such heartfelt gifts. They aren't usually too expensive, because we can't afford it, but they're always so meaningful. He's the first person to actually care to give me a real birthday....

"Well it wouldn't be a gift if I told you." Marvin smirked, slightly chuckling.

"But it's my birthday today! I should be allowed to know since it's actually my birthday. Or.... you could give me my gift now...." I mumbled jokingly, laughing.

"Well, I can't tell you, because it's a surprise.... But I can't give it to you because it won'd be ready until Friday...." Marvin said, his smile on his face slowly fading once he saw my sad expression. "I'm sorry, Whiz, I really am.... I-I promise it'll be ready soon...." Marvin bit his lip, standing up and walked around to my chair, wrapping his arms around my neck to hug my head.

"Oh.... Well, if you don't want to get me a gift, you don't have to lie...." I mumbled, a little upset at the fact that one of the only people who celebrate my birthday didn't get me gift.

"No, Whiz, I promise I got you a g-"

"It's okay, Marvin...." I cut him off, standing up. "I'm gonna go out.... Buy myself something since you didn't...." I sighed, quickly leaving before he could stop me.

"Whizzer, wait-!" Marvin started rushing to the door before I shut it behind me.

(Marvin's POV)

Oh god.... Damnit Marvin, you should've gotten him something else! Anything! You know how he is! Oh!

I quickly ran over to the phone and called Jason.

"Hey, Jason!" I exclaimed happily. "Do you think you can give Whizzer a call? He-.... He got upset with me because I don't have his birthday gift ready yet.... Well the ring is supposed to be done being fitted tomorrow.... Do you think you can talk him into letting me take him to dinner tonight? I know he'll listen to you.... Okay, thank you, kid. I love you! Bye!" I ended the call and sighed of relief, praying that my son could knock some sense into him.
