A/N: I randomly saw this picture (the one above) on Pinterest, and I immediately wanted to write a one-shot so sorry this starts off depressing, and sorry this is so cringy....

(Marvin's POV)

I laid in bed next to Whizzer. The doctor's told us he was 'well enough to go home for a bit', but we both knew why they were doing that. They wanted him to be home for his last few days. I knew it was only a matter of time before-

I shook the thought from my head and turned to face Whizzer. There was huge black bags under his eyes and he looked so worn out, but he still smiled. He kept his smile. Throughout everything he's going through, he somehow remains happy and calm, smiling all day. I don't think I could look at him without crying if he didn't wear that smile.

Marvin, he's going to be okay.... He'll be okay, he has to.... He wouldn't lie to me and he said he'll be okay....

I snuggled up to Whizzer as he fell asleep for the first time in weeks. I put a light hand on his chest and left it there to feel his heartbeat. I soon fell asleep as well, due to the fact that I got even less sleep than Whizzer himself.

In the middle of the night, I was awoken by someone crawling into our bed. Jason. He was quietly crying and laid in between Whizzer and myself. He pulled the blanket up to his face and cried into it. I wrapped my arms around Jason and held him.

Due to all the commotion, Whizzer woke up as well. He took one look at Jason and wrapped an arm around him. Jason turned and looked at Whizzer for a few seconds, only making him cry louder into the blanket.

"He's okay.... Calm down." I said, hugging Jason. "H-he's going to be alright, Jason.... It's okay...." I mumbled, holding back my own tears.

Jason muffled a loud sob, so Whizzer pulled him into a hug.

"I'm going to be okay, Jason." Whizzer whispered, holding Jason softly.

Jason only cried harder. Whizzer sighed and cleared his throat.

"Don't worry, little Buddy, know this much is true; Tomorrow is another day, and I am here for you...." Whizzer sung gently, slightly rocking Jason side to side.

Jason calmed down a little, his loud, muffled sobs turning into quiet whimpers and silent tears. Whizzer just kept holding him and shushing him, whispering reassuring words. Soon, Jason fell asleep in his arms, but Whizzer never let go. He kept Jason in his embrace and held my hand.

He'd make such a great dad....

          And he did.

Whizzer miraculously lived, which surprised everyone: the doctors, the nurses, even me. Soon after he left the hospital for good, I proposed. I knew he was the one. I knew he'd be the greatest dad for Jason. And he proved it.
