Part 13 💜

Dianne's Pov: I was dancing with the one and only man I loved. I never understood how a girl like me could ever be so lucky to have a guy like him. We shared a few kisses now again until the song ended and we broke apart to applaud the performers.

J- I don't know how I'm ever going to top this, It's amazing
D- I'm glad you're enjoying it
J- What other songs are there?
D- A few of our special ones, I wanted to make this night really special for you after everything you've done for me
J- You've definitely made it special

We dance for a little while longer until we sit down and have a cuddle together listening to the music still going and staring at the view we had. We sat on a rocking hammock lounger together, I was practically lying on top of him, My head on his chest, I could hear his heartbeat. His hand was on my waist, rubbing it with his thumb, comforting me. I looked up into his eyes and told him how much I loved him and how lucky I am to have him. I was thinking about how I'm going to tell him about the last big surprise

J- Shall we have another dance?
D- Of course, perfect timing. Listen to the song

Joe said nothing, he just gave me the biggest bear hug ever and didn't let go until he felt my hand go up and hold the necklace on my chest. He looked down and held onto my hand...

J- You wore it!
D- Of course I did, I'm never going to take it off either

Joe's Pov: I felt so happy just being in the moment with Dianne. It made me even happier that she wore the necklace I left behind. Thanks to the necklace, I have finally got my girl back and I couldn't be happier. We were in our own little bubble and I never wanted it to pop. To make things even better the bandstand performers were playing one of the most meaningful songs to me and Dianne. We went back into our cuddling position whilst dancing, swaying from side to side. Dianne started to hum our favourite line from Rainbow Connection along with performers, I joined in but sang it

J- ......... the lovers, the dreamers and me

We were both stood there singing into each other's eyes, still in our own bubble until the music ended. We applauded them again and the Dianne gave them a nod and then I heard "This Years Love", Dianne took me into position and we started to do our dance. This was definitely one of my favourite dances, we were both so close to each other all the time. We didn't get the best scores and feedback from the judges but nevertheless we made it our own and still enjoyed every second of this dance. Of course, we finished off the way we always do, with our foreheads against one an others, staying inside our bubble until it popped by the sounds of cheering from the performs. I quickly gave Dianne a peck on lips and then cheered the performers ourselves. Dianne went over to talk to them and said they could leave now and they were amazing and it meant that they performed those songs. After they were gone I said to Dianne

J- Now, where were we..
D- Hmmm, I think I remember it going a little something like this.. she said as she put my hands on her cheeks as I put hers around my neck
J- and then didn't I do this? I said as I kissed her on the lips for what seemed like longer than we ever had before. I picked her and she wrapped her legs around my waist, I walked back over to the hammock and sat down with her straddled over me, we carried on kissing and it got pretty intense until Dianne stopped all of a sudden, I thought I had done something wrong...

Dianne's Pov: Things were getting pretty intense with Joe on the hammock, I pulled away hoping I wouldn't upset Joe...

J- Di, what's wrong? What happened?
D- Nothing, nothing at all, everything's absolutely perfect but I have one more thing to do

I got off of Joe and walked over to our table where I left my bag, I turned round to see Joe staring at me and I just told he had to keep his eyes closed until I got back over to him. As he closed his eyes I reached into my bag and brought out a blue envelope, I walked back over and sat back down next him and placed the envelope in his hands and told him he could look. He opened his eyes and looked down and saw written on it "Joseph" just like I did this morning

J- I love it when you call me Joseph
D- and that's exactly why I did it, Joseph

He turned it around and opened it and pulled out a few sheets of paper, the first one he saw was a letter that I wrote explaining how much I loved him and appreciated everything he has ever done for me.  As he reads it he starts to tear up so I hug him and kiss him on the cheek. The more he read the more emotional he got...

Dear Joseph, I love you so much more than you'll ever imagine. I couldn't imagine being partnered with anyone else on Strictly. You were the perfect partner and the perfect guy, you made everything so much fun. Not only did I work you hard, you worked me hard and made me so proud all the time. After every dance I honestly couldn't be prouder of you. When we told each other how we felt the first time, I was over the moon that you felt the same, you are the most genuine, kindhearted, caring, hilarious, fit guy I've ever met and I never thought you would feel the same way. You make me smile on the darkest days and are always their for me no matter what and I can't thank you enough for it.

Joe's Pov:

J- Aw Di! You've made me freaking cry!
D- Joesph, I meant every word.
J- I love you, you know that I will always love and protect you no matter what
D- That right there is why I love you and know I will love and protect you always too

We have each other another kiss

D- I need to explain the rest of what's in here, you'll say I shouldn't have and that there is no need but I've just explained why you deserve this, okay

J- You're scaring me now Di!
D- Don't be, just open it

I opened the next letter, I read it and my moth fell open, I didn't believe it was true..

J- Is this real?!
D- Of course it is! I've booked us tickets to Switzerland! I know how you love skiing, I booked stuff for us to do skiing, I've booked the best room in the hotel with the best view!  It's booked for the Winter and I've made sure that you can make it, I checked with your management and it's all set it place. We're going to Switzerland baby!
J- Thank You so much! I've always wanted to go! Omg! I can't believe you actually did this Di!
D- Well you better believe it because we're going!

I couldn't contain my excitement, I hugged her, then kissed her, then looked back down at the sheet of paper still trying to believe that it's real  then back to kissing and hugging her, it went on like that for a while. We both sat cuddled up together talking about things we have to do to before we go and what we can do once we're there until Dianne started to get cold, I could feel her shivering...

J- Do you want to head back now?
D- I'm not fussed, do you?
J- I'm not either but your freezing gorgeous, I'll call an Uber and we'll head back to my apartment
D- Only if you're sure
J- Of course, anything for you

I call an Uber and I take Dianne's hand as we go and grab her bag and head round the front to wait for an Uber

D- We should get one of those hammock lounger for your back garden!
J- Di...
D- Yeah...
J- I don't have a back garden, I live in an apartment
D- Oh yeah

We laughed and laughed about this for a while, it reminded me of when we put up the Christmas Tree and she tried to zoom in on the bauble (or bobble as Dianne calls it) of me. Sooner or later the Uber came and we both got in, not long after we got in Dianne was practically asleep on my lap, I put my hand around her waist and rubbed it in circles. We then made it to the apartment and lightly woke her up enough just to get her up to the apartment and up into bed. We cuddled up and we both fell asleep with the biggest grins on our faces.

I still can't believe I'm lucky enough to be with this wonderful woman

Sorry about this being such a long chapter, I didn't want to put it into 2 because I didn't really want to leave you guys in a cliffhanger. This chapter didn't go as well as planned, it was a lot better in my head but I hope you enjoyed it anyway ❤️
