Part 20 💜

Joe's Pov: Once we got in, Byron and Emily still weren't back so Joe told me to get changed into something comfy whilst he sorts the living room out. She didn't really want to but I reassured her that nothing would happen and I would come up in a sec. I put our mood lights on a dimmed option so it wasn't too bright, lit some candles, got some blankets out and put the TV on then headed upstairs to Dianne. When I entered the room Dianne had changed and was just checking her phone but her back was towards the door so she didn't see me or hear me. I walked behind her, I grabbed her shoulders and leaned over her, "Hey, is everything okay?" I said to her as I leaned over her she turned around and smacked her lips in mine. Of course, it wasn't a bad thing, I loved Dianne but I didn't know if this was just from stress or whether she really wanted to do anything. Obviously, I kissed her back but pulled away, a little out of breath

J- Di... what are you doing
D- What does it look like I'm doing!
J- Yeah but, you're upset and you're going through a lot in your head
D- I don't care, Joe, I love you
J- and I love you too but let's save whatever this is for another night okay?
D- Is this because of how I've been acting today like you're fed up of me
J- No! Not at all, I just think we've both had a busy day, let's just chill downstairs for a bit
D- Cuddle?
J- Come here

I pick Dianne up and give her a massive hug and then head downstairs, still hugging, we had the blankets over us. She wasn't on my chest, as usual, we were just lying beside each other. I could tell she was tired but she was fighting it to stay awake and watch the film. I told we should just go back up to bed because she was so shattered but she was adamant to go. She turned around so she was cuddling into my chest not facing the TV anymore anyway so turned the volume down but not fully, just so it's relatively quiet. I grabbed the blanket over us and pulled it up so it was completely over us and it was just our heads popping out. I watched the TV for a little bit longer until I knew Dianne was completely asleep by hearing little snores now and again, once I knew she was definitely asleep I cuddled down further with her and slowly went to sleep.

Time skip to the morning (still Joe's Pov)

I woke up, not realizing why I was on the sofa or why the TV was on, I then looked down by my side and saw Dianne, I remembered why I was on the sofa and I remembered why the TV was on. It reminded me of how she was feeling, all I did was wrap my arms around her and pulled her close, I saw a little smile appear on her face and felt her hands on mine. We just lay for a while, we didn't speak or move, just lay there happily in each others arms.

Dianne's Pov: I woke up next to Joe on the sofa, hand in hand, lying next to each other. I remember me telling him what was getting me down and thinking that even just telling him made me feel better and the way he reacted to it made me feel even better and I still felt scared and anxious about the whole thing but the fact he knows and he doesn't think it's stupid was amazing and made me love him even more, which I didn't think was possible. We stayed lying on the sofa for quite a while until I rolled onto my other side so I was facing Joe. I looked at him just smiled at him. I was about to tell him "good morning" but he cut me off with a peck on the lips which brought an even bigger smile to us both. We talked for a bit and then my phone pinged, I checked it and it was a notification from my countdown app. It told me we had 10 days until we go to Switzerland

J- What's got you all excited all of a sudden
D- We're going to Switzerland in 10 days you idiot!
J- Sorry for not counting down! Aha
D- I'll forgive you

I told Joe I forgave him with a kiss and then got up but got pulled back down into a cuddle from him. I stayed for a wee bit longer but then got up and got ready and not long after Joe came up for a shower.

J- Hey Di?
D- What
J- Do you wanna get some of the boys round, might cheer you up a bit?
D- Yeah sure, why not
J- I'll text them once I'm the shower and see what time

He got in the shower, blaring music and singing along. He took ages so I went downstairs and made us some pancakes, I used Zoe's recipe from her book, I poured us some juice and waited for Joe to come down. He wasn't long after that so we sat down together and had our breakfast. As we finished Joe texted the boys to see if they wanted to come round for the evening for a catch up and a few drinks. He got a very quick response from them all telling them they would be round around 8. Me and Joe decided to go out to the shops and get some food and drink for when the boys come round. As we were in the shops we met a few fans and every now and again Joe would check on me and see if I was okay and not too overwhelmed by anything. We drove back home and got changed into some fancier clothes

J- You look amazing Di!
D- You don't look too bad yourself Sugg

We went back downstairs and made a few drinks for ourselves and cuddled on the sofa before all the boys came stole Joe off of me, if they could. Sooner or later the boys arrived, we all sat in the kitchen area and got our drinks, i was sat on Joe's lap whilst the rest of the boys stood and around the counter. We had music on the background as we chatted for a while. After I had consumed a few drinks I suggested we do some karaoke

J- Oh god!
D- Oi! I'm amazing at kazza thank you very much
J- No your not haha
B (Byron) - Stop bickering you two!

Joe's Pov: We both gave each other a look and then Mikey put on a song and started singing, Dianne trying to join in but kept getting shouted at by the boys in a jokey way. It was then time for me and Dianne to do a song, we chose to do "Summer Nights" singing our iconic lines and adding in some extra ones, Dianne more than me. We sang karaoke for ages until Josh suggested we play Never Have I Ever.
