“Fuck my actual life. That was hard work. I really need to get into the swing of this gym thing” I laughed as L.P and I stripped off to get into the jacuzzi.
Through the U.N I got free gym membership at Kensington Fitness and it allowed me to put one other person on the membership. Obviously I chose L.P. With the membership we got 4 sessions of personal training a week which we could use at any time. My trainer, Tom was really pushing me and I knew L.P’s trainer Drew, was no different.
L.P had always been into going to the gym and keeping fit in Sydney and loved getting in shape but I had never been a huge fan. However with the job and the new clothes I wanted to be fit and healthy. Having said that, I couldn't help but notice even she struggled with the routine today.
“Oh shit, you know it. I’m exhausted” She gasped as the bubbles in the jacuzzi started to flare up.
I could feel the jets pulsating on my back and thighs. This was bliss. The warmth of the water was perfect too. This was the way to spend a Friday afternoon, after the long week we had both had we totally deserved this. L.P had been working long hours on the set of Game Of Thrones and I had flown to Milan on Wednesday for the day with River and Barbara for a meeting. I was straight into work on Thursday morning for meetings and to work with River. It was for that reason that I was given Friday off. That was one of the best things about this job, it wasn't strictly 9-5 Monday-Friday.
“So you never told me what actually happened at the airport when you left” L.P smirked.
It was true, I didn’t tell her what went down at all. For some reason I kept it all to myself, I’m not entirely sure why but it just seemed easier that way. The feelings I left there. I didn’t want them to dwell on my trip to London.
“Well…after you called I waited for like twenty minutes. I was about to go through the security gates when I heard someone call my name. I turned around and there he was” I laughed.
At the time I was incredibly shocked and was not all to impressed but now I can laugh about it. It was sweet though, incredibly romantic and I didn’t think he would do something like that, for me anyway.
“I was so surprised when he told me what he was going to do. I was like, she won’t like this. She’s already said her goodbyes to everyone and for you to go would be a huge surprise. He was adamant that he had to tell you how he felt” L.P enthused.
L.P was in no way a romantic type of person, I mean her idea of a date night with Mikey is staying in, ordering food and playing Grand Theft Auto. So for her, the idea that a guy would run to the airport in a bid to stop his love from leaving was hilarious. In fact she said the whole ordeal reminded her of Ross chasing after Rachel.
“I was like stunned. I never in a million years thought he’d do that. I didn’t think I meant that to him but it was sweet. We hugged for a while and then he kissed me, and do you know what; I kissed him back. And I enjoyed it. I didn’t regret it” I said as one of the gym staff brought over a bottle of sparkling raspberry juice which apparently helped with the detox.
I have to admit that if all the gyms in Sydney were like this, I would have started going ages ago. L.P and I were going to have a quiet night in and were making a list of all the things to do when Michael and Calum came over. I knew she was so excited, and the fact they were here for Christmas was even sweeter.
“YOU KISSED?! WHAT? So what now?” L.P screamed drawing a lot of attention to the jacuzzi we were in. When she realised the people looking she apologised. I couldn't help but laugh at her outburst.
“Yeah we kissed. It was literally amazing. It was long over due, their were so many feelings in one kiss. Fireworks, I swear” I grinned.
I could feel my smile getting bigger and bigger as I thought back to the kiss. It was a good kiss, fuck that, it was incredible. For the first time in ages I felt sparks and that I never wanted it to end. It was a mind blowing and if I wasn't so certain on doing this job, I’d definitely had left with him. It was that amazing.
