"Mason! Mason!" I call out, speed-walking down the hallway to catch up with him. If he heard me, he does a good job of ignoring me.

I stare around and am conscious of the people that are watching me, interested as to why I'm chasing after Mason.

It's like they have nothing better to do with their time!

I clutch my books closer to myself and break into a jog, hating myself for the tight shoes I decided to wear today. I blame this on Mason. He's made me want to dress to impress.

He takes pity on me and slows down, allowing me to catch up with him.

"Thank you!" I breathe out as I try to catch my breath. He takes my books from me, but offers me no smile.

"I can't have social media think I'm a bad boyfriend now, can I?"

Ouch!

i feel my heart drop, but I guess I deserve that. i hurt him, I best not hurt his online persona.

"Please let's talk. I want to apolo-"

"Not here! Jesus! Okay, now that you have a following, always assume someone is listening to you. Always!"

That can't be good for any relationship, but I don't argue. We make our way to my locker and I try to pretend like all the stares and smiles and not-so-sneaky pictures don't get to me.

I glance over at Mason and he has that charming expression on that flawless face of him. Lord, he's gorgeous!

He glances down at me and much to my surprise, he actually grins widely. And it's a smile that reaches those beautiful eyes and lights up his face. A warmth spreads through my chest and I get the urge to cry happy tears.

"I forgive you," he mutters under his breath, so softly, I almost don't catch it. My face brightens up and a smile takes over my whole face and my shoulders seem lighter.

"Really?"

He rolls his eyes and playfully nudges me as we stop at my locker. I have to stop myself from doing a little happy dance. i open my locker and he shoves the books inside and leave me to sort through them.

"I can come over so we can talk. Or would you rather I take you out? The internet is dying for a cute picture of us out on a date." He leans against the locker beside mine as he continues to stare at me in that way he does.

There is something about Mason's stare I can't quite put my finger on. Jonathan's is soft and kind. Mason's isn't. There's an air of arrogance around him and mischief in his eyes, but there's the way he looks at me that just takes my breath away.
