Hello everyone and welcome to a fanfic about my favourite dance couple from Strictly Come Dancing: Faye and Giovanni! Please note that this is only a fictional story and if there are any mistakes, feel free to tell me! Hope you enjoy reading :)

Faye:

Today is the day of the Launch Show for Strictly Come Dancing. Today we all are going to meet our professional dance partners; the dancers who are going to teach us how to dance ballroom and latin. Yes, I'm definitely excited to find out who my dance partner will be. I'd previouly had conversations with some of them when the band performed at the show but I obviously hadn't actually danced with them or at least no ballroom and latin.

As we get styled, me and the other girls are exchanging our thoughts about the pros, especially about the male ones. We tell each other which pro dancer we would like any why and who impresses us the most. For me it's an easy choice. I would love to dance with Giovanni. I mean, he's gorgeous. Not only a very talented dancer - I mean, he's been in the final before and even when he wasn't, he had brilliant celebs - but he also is quite handsome. Back then when the band had performed at Strictly, we'd gone to a bar with the pros and celebs. He and I shared a lovely talk about Strictly and now I actually am at Strictly!

"Alright Faye, which pro do you want to dance with?" Ashley asks, bursting with confidence as usual.

"I would love to dance with Giovanni." I explain with a shy smile, blushing as immediately everyone goes silent. I haven't talked much yet so I guess they're surprised to actually hear me talk freely.

Some of the girls giggle slightly as I explain who's my favourite pro. Not laughing in a mean way but they do sound rather amused. "Of course. He's very talented after all." Kate says with a smirk.

"I don't only want to dance with him because of winning." I tell her. "I mean, it would be amazing to win, but he's also very nice and I think it would be a great partnership." I explain. Besides, I doubt I'm talented enough. Probably Giovanni would like to dance with Ashley or Stacey; they're real contenders. I don't add that bit though. "I think we would make a great couple." I then say. Upon seeing their expressions I sigh, rather annoyed, before changing my words slightly. "I mean a great dance couple, of course."

Knowing I was annoyed by the way some of them teased me, Ashley just changes the subject. "I would like to dance with Pasha because he's really nice as well. I like him." she says. Just like me, she adds that she means she likes him as the dancer, but we still laugh.

Later, when we are finally allowed to enter the studio, I'm still stunned by how amazing it actually looks. I mean, we already were here previously: once when Steps was performing at the latest series and of course when we were at dress rehearsal. But now, the audience is already excitingly waiting on their places and some of the professionals are talking to each other, probably about their ideas for a dance partner. The atmosphere is just amazing. Oh gosh, I'm so excited. Hopefully I won't completely embarrass myself.

Unfortunately my confidence is already playing tricks with me again. I know that I can dance relatively decent, after all we dance with the band as well, but we don't do ballroom or latin. Okay, some nasty comments on social media say I'm already a perfect pro dancer but I highly doubt my skills. I also really doubt that a pro even wants to dance with me at all. It's not like I think that I'm completely talentless but compared to someone like Ashley or Charles? They're perfect, they're natural talents - they already are what people call 'contenders'.

But well, on the other hand, it's still the publics choice. But the public doesn't like ringers - the celebs with dance experience. Although I wouldn't define Ashley or Charles as a ringer, they haven't got any ballroom or latin experience. However the public is probably going to see me as a ringer as well, even if I don't know how to dance like the pros do. I haven't got much of an idea about how to dance a Charleston or a Samba or a Jive. But whatever. I already read some of the comments online and they weren't that nice, calling us as cheaters and all. It's harsh.
