A/N: Sarah's opinions of Allurance do not reflect mine. Please don't hate. And I'll say this because now we're moving onto the tv show timeline... I don't own Voltron.
"This show is literally the worst." Sarah and Keith watched the first episode of Voltron with wide eyes. "They couldn't have chosen better voice actors? And where am I?"
She and Keith sat on her bed in the room she shared with Allura. After the first few episodes of the show came out, she insisted on watching it with him. A TV that she requested sat on the other side of the room on a small table. The credits of the episode rolled across the screen.
"I know," Keith said.
"I can't believe they made you like, friendly." Sarah laughed and turned her body to face him. "Maybe our personalities got mixed up, and I'll be in another episode." She twisted the ring on her finger, a habit that returned quickly after she found it.
Keith couldn't look at her while she spoke, but his eyes were trained on her hands. He'd noticed the disappearance of it, and while he was hurt for a while he understood why she didn't wear it: she didn't know where it came from so it had no significance. He couldn't help but wonder if she remembered how she got it.
Then one of Sarah's hands came to wave in front of his face. "Hello? Keith? Are you listening to me?"
"Yeah, sorry." He shifted so that he was sitting more upright. "I um... They wanted us to sign release forms, but I would only sign mine if you weren't in the show."
Ouch. Sarah gave him a hard look. "Why would you do that?" she asked slowly. She wanted to be able to join her friends in that adventure, to find their character so wrong and be able to joke about it. "Do you not want people to know about me? Or is it because I really didn't do anything to help on the castle? I wasn't a Paladin, I was just Coran's assistant, I know that, I remember feeling inadequate, but I didn't expect that to come from-"
"It's not that!" Keith snapped. Sarah flinched from his outburst. "I just..." He sighed, trying to gather his thoughts and calm down before he continued. "This was all when I thought your memories weren't coming back. I didn't want other people to come to you and ask if we were together, or ask you questions, because then you'd have to answer and tell them that you don't remember. I... I did it to protect you." With a deep breath, Keith took one of Sarah's hands in both of his and looked her in the eye. "And we had a lot of problems in the beginning. You couldn't stand to be around me and none of the others knew why. I just thought that that should... stay between us. And the details... they're not for everyone else to know."
Sarah was both touched and annoyed. While it was true that, in the last several months since they'd returned to Earth, she'd recovered several of her memories, there were still huge gaps in what she knew. Most of what she remembered were emotions and not actual events. The events that she did remember were usually insignificant and showed little of her relationship with Keith, something she was dying to know about. She had no idea what life was actually like with everyone. To some extent she appreciated what Keith did for her, but it also should have been her decision to make.
"I'm sorry," Keith said softly several moments later, interrupting Sarah's train of thought. "You know how people are about shipping, and
"I forgive you."

Meetings made much more sense as Sarah came to understand everything that went on in space. As she'd come to remember and understand what her role on the castle was, she was able to piece together events and become familiar with their objective and why the Atlas was so important.
