Sarah sat with Keith in his barren room, several of her fingers held out in front of her. The two were playing chopsticks, and Keith was winning. They keep their conversation light, just catching each other up on what had been going on since Keith had been gone. Keith was only going to be back for a few days before he was supposed to leave on another mission, and Sarah wanted to spend as much time with him as she could.

Something had been bothering Sarah for a long time though, and she wanted her boyfriend's thoughts on it. "Keith, I... I think I might have a connection with Voltron," she told him as casually as she could.

Keith froze for a few seconds, unsure of what she meant. "A... connection?"

"Mhm." Sarah nodded and tapped one of Keith's hands. He now had four fingers up and used that hand to get rid of one of Sarah's. "I've been noticing for a while that the lions... I dunno, purr? They purr in my mind."

Keith hummed and rested his elbows against his knees. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, you dingbat, I'm sure." She realized she was defeated, no matter which hand Keith used, and threw her hands up in the air. "I give up. You're too good at this game." After taking a deep breath, she continued, "The first time it happened, I was with you. I went to find you, because you were in an angsty mood and you needed to do something other than sulking-" Keith groaned and rolled his eyes "-I'm joking. No, it was because you guys had just got back from something and I wanted to talk to you. Anyways, you weren't in the red lion's hangar, and as I was leaving, I thought I heard a really loud cat, you know? So I turned around, confused as to why there was a cat in space, but there was nothing around me. And then I heard it again, but this time I realized it was inside my mind. After that, the other lions started doing it too. Your lion, whichever one you have at the time, is usually the loudest."

Keith leaned back on the palms of his hands. "That's interesting," he said. "So you're connected to the lions. Do you think you could fly one if the situation came where you had to?"

"Let's just hope it doesn't come to that."

Sarah kept shivering, sitting in the meeting room with all of her friends. Not because she was cold, but because of the anxiety and anticipation of what she knew was coming. The Paladins were going to go fight Honerva, and there was nothing she could do to help them. Knowing that hurt.

This wasn't what she expected to happen when she got back to her room after her morning run. Keith had been waiting for her to tell her what was going on that day and that they were going to have a meeting to figure out what to do to stop Honerva.

Across the table, Lance looked as unhappy about their plan as Sarah felt. He slumped in his seat with crossed arms, scowling at the table. His blue eyes barely moved the entire time he sat there.

While they talked, and when Shiro came to the room and they discussed their plan with him, Keith kept a firm hold on Sarah's hand under the table. The steady contact didn't help her feel less worried, but it kept her grounded and prevented her from standing and running away.

"I believe the entity has bonded me to Honerva," Allura explained, looking at Shiro intently. She leaned forward, elbows on the table. "The link is there, whether we utilize it or not. I believe that if the Paladins connect using the shared consciousness of Voltron, we may be able to travel through the void and into Honerva's mind."

"That could, in theory, give us access to her physical location," Pidge added, "as well as key information on how to defeat her."

"Which, after what happened the last time we faced her, could be super useful," said Hunk.
