You make eye contact with the woman and she smiles at you, but you can tell by her eyes that she's scared and has been crying. You smile back and nod apologetically.

"Lets go get some dinner," you say to the boys. You look at the woman once more before leaving the room.

You decide on a small Chinese restaurant a few blocks down. There was a cafeteria in the hospital, but you've been craving Chinese food for a while.

When you walk in, the smells hit you like a slap to the face, but after a moment you get used to it.

....

Days go buy, and every day resembles the last. Calum stays with you every night, you wake up early and head down to the hospital. Then you all eat dinner at six and head back home. It's like a system now. Like clock work.

But today had something a little bit different in store.

You all went up to the third floor, the boys went to the waiting room, and even though she didn't have to, the nurse at the third floor front desk would accompany you to the I.C.U.

You would talk about Luke and the boys and your pregnancy, and she smiled that sly grin every time one of you brought the baby up. Every time you asked her why she smiled like that when you talked about the baby, all she would say is "You'll just have to figure that out on you're own."

It killed you that she wouldn't tell you.

She leads you past the I.C.U. and to an elevator. "Um...where are we going?" you ask. She stays silent and steps into the elevator, you follow. No matter how many times you ask she won't tell you where she's taking you.

The elevator stops a few floors up and she walks quickly through the halls. She's a fairly tall woman, so it takes a bit of effort to keep up with her long strides.

She stops at a door and then looks a you with a huge grin, different from the ones she gives about the baby. She opens the door, and  inside, Luke is laying there on the bed.

You bring your hands up to your mouth.

"Oh my god!" You say entering the room.

"Yep, he was doing so well that he was moved to a regular room. Mr. Hemmings is now officially in stable condition," she says with a proud smile. You reach up to her and give her a tight hug.

"This is so amazing!" Happy tears wet your cheeks.

"Would you like me to go get the others?"

"Yes yes, please! Bring them up here! This is so great." She leaves the room and you practically skip over to Luke's bed.

"You did it. I am so proud of you for fighting. I know that the boys will be too. They're gonna be so happy to hear that they can finally see you. Two weeks might as well be two years with the way you boys are." Only a few minutes later the door opens and the boys pile in, nearly tripping over one another.

You occupy the only chair in the room, and all of the boys kneel by his bed. You decide to give them a while to be with him on their own. You stand to leave the room.

"I'm just going to walk around," you say to the boys, but they are so caught up in Luke that they probably didn't even hear you, they might not even notice you're gone.

You catch up to the nurse down the hall and join her in the elevator.

"So how long have you and Luke been together?" You almost answer, but then you remember that she was supposed to think he's your brother. Before you can respond she continues. "I know he's not your brother, actually I've known since you got here, but it's alright, I never told anyone," she says with a wink.

You laugh at how surprised you were, and she laughs with you. You just laugh and laugh. After you've calmed down the elevator doors slide open and Dr. Wentz is waiting outside of them.

"Dr. Wentz," you say.

"Ahh Y/N, just who I wanted to see. Are you busy?" He asks stepping into the elevator and holding the door."

"Um nope not at all, I was just walking around."

"Ill see you later!" Luke's nurse yells from down the hall, you didn't even notice her leave the elevator. Dr. Wentz let's the door close.

"Thank you so much Dr. Wentz for taking care of Luke. Thanks to you the rest of the boys get to spend some time with him and that means so much to all of us. I really can't thank you enough."

He leads you through a floor you haven't been tp and into a small office.

"I am glad that I have been here to aid in his recovery, but don't just thank me. He's been fighting very hard."

"I know, but without you he might not have even been able to."

Dr. Wentz pauses for a while, not saying anything. He crosses his hands on his desk and takes a long deep breath.

"Ms. Hemmings I have some news," he says in a very serious tone. "You're most likely not going to like it."
