CHAPTER ONE:
The Contest
I stare at the screen of the television watching reruns of I Love Lucy with my best friend Juliet Moore. We're both sitting on the pathetic red couch that my family uses to sit on in the living room.
Juliet's eyes eyes lazily watch the television screen, as she twirls her dirty blonde hair. My grey eyes watch the screen with the same amount of interest as Juliet's, which is basically none at all. I Love Lucy cuts to a commercial.
"Hi I'm Louis Tomlinson" one of the people on the TV says
"I'm Harry Styles"
"I'm Niall Horan"
"I'm Liam Payne"
"And I'm Zayn Malik"
"And we're One Direction" they say together
"We know we have millions of fans" Harry explains
"90% of which are complete psychos" I say
"Shut up" Juliet rolls her eyes
"And we want to spend a week with one of you" Louis adds
"Just go to www.onedirectionsfanweek/this_is_not_a_real_website.com, and enter your name and address" Zayn explains
"And on June 26th we will announce who won and gets to spend a week with us." Niall and Liam announce
The commercial ends and it goes back to the I Love Lucy marathon. Juliet turns and looks at me with and expression of pure glee on her face.
"C'mon Miles, lets both go enter it"
"No"
"Why not"
"I don't listen to their music"
"So?" Juliet sarcastically says "Just do it for me"
"No"
"C'mon Miles" she begs "Please"
"No"
"Please"
"No"
"Please"
"No"
"Please"
"No"
"Please"
"No"
"Please"
"No"
I give in.
"Fine"
"Yay!" she exclaims
We get up from the couch and make our way upstairs to my family's computer room. When we get to the room, I sit in the office swivel chair while Juliet stands over me in a bit of an ominous way. I log into the computer and pull up the website that they said on the commercial.
Juliet puts in her entry first.
Juliet Moore

I'm next. Before I put my information in I ask myself: Why do I let her convince me to do things like this?
