CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

The Aftermath and Innvitation

After we finish, we walk around for a bit, caked entirely in mud. We run into Juliet, Zayn, and Liam (can you guess which one is nude; the answer; none of them.) All three of them are as equally covered in mud as we are. Soon the mud starts to harden, and it get uncomfertable to walk, so we decide to head home. And its a good thing we did, because the race finished at around four in the afternoon, and its been about two hours since then.

We pile into the Jeep Cherokee, and drive off. When we get back to my house, three people are standing at the front porch. I reconize them immeadiatly. They're some kids that live along the street; Christina Nolan, Robert Hargenson, and Susannah Ross. (if anybody gets the reference that ive made with their coded names, congradulations, youve read my favorite book.) When we get out of the car, Juliet and I go over to talk to them.

"Hey y'all" I say as I walk towards them

"Hey Miles, hey Juliet" They say back

"What're y'all (okay i know i use y'all alot, but cut me some slack, ive lived in the south my entire life, and alot of the people in my family are about as redneck as redneck can be. now myself, i am not one of those said rednecks that are in my family. most of the time.) here for?" Juliet asks

"Oh, we were wondering, if y'all wanna go play paint ball with us tomarrow at twelve" Susannah asks us

Susannah, Christina, and Robert are the same age as Juliet and I, and we've both known all three since kindergarden, but we just never became super close friends with them, like Juliet and I are.

"Cool, that'd be awesome" I say

"Could, we bring five of our guest?" Juliet asks

"Sure," Christina replies

"The more the merrier" Robert exclaims

After they leave, we head inside. My mom and dad are sitting on the couch watching a movie.

"What movie are ya watchin'?" Niall asks

"The Sound of Music" Mom replies as the TV sings: "The hills are alive"

"Intresting'" Niall says (the reason 'Loretta' isnt flirrting with Niall is because i dont want a character that creepy in something thats supposed to be 'happy' and she was origonally intended to be comical, but ya know, it got out of hand really quickly.)

"Go take showers, and I'll order pizza" Mom tells us

We head upstairs and go to our rooms. The guest room has a bathroom that's right on the wall that faces the hallway, and then the other bathroom is on the other end of the hallway, coming off the stairs. (im not good at creating mental pictures of rooms through words, so this house probably sounds like the most dissorderly and unorganized house in the world.)

Juliet and I debate on who gets to take a shower first, because the shower will be cleanest for the first person.

"Well, I'm your guest AND a girl" Juliet protests

"This is my house" I retort

The fight makes me sound like a jerk, but remember if you were in the same situation you would have rebuttled to claim that you deserve to go first to.

Eventually, Juliet and I platy rock paper scissors to decide who will get to go first. We play best two out of three and Juliet wins the first shower.

"Hahaha" she giggles with glorious grateful giddy glee (see remember that.)

"Fine" I say

I go and get her a towel and she gets into the shower first. After she gets out I get in and take my shower. After everyone is done taking their showers we all head downstairs and eat the pizza my mom ordered. After we're done we head back upstairs and go to sleep.
