CHAPTER TEN:
Lessons In Flirting at Dinner
I go to the kitchen, along with Juliet, Miles, Harry, Zayn, Niall, and Liam. It smells even better in the kitchen. No places are set at the table. Loretta notices we've come in and nudges Miles' dad to help her tell us what we're eating.
"I'm Billy" Miles' dad tells us
"So what are we having for dinner?" Zayn asks
"We are having breakfast for dinner" Loretta tells us "we're gonna have grits, scrambled eggs, and bacon"
"Awesome!" Juliet exclaims
"You're grits are the best" Miles says
What the hell are grits? I have no fucking idea. (if anyone says that he doesn't swear because hes [insert reason here] youre full of it. everybody swears in there lifetime.) It sounds weird, but also at the same time really good.
"The foods wonderful, as long he got some booze for me" Niall tells Loretta
"If you follow me to back room I'm sure there'll be plenty" Loretta tells Niall with a sly look in her eye
I don't like to be mean, but Miles has one seriously messed up mom.
"I-I-I'm good lassie"
Loretta's sly and "gleeful" expression fades and turns into a more five year old pout face.
"Mom," Miles says "I think the neighbors dog got into your 50 shades of grey shed in the back yard"
"Oh no" Loretta screeches as she runs out of the kitchen
"Why god? why?" Miles says raising his hands and looking at the ceiling
"Does your mom really-" Liam asks, but is cut off by Juliet
"Yes. Yes she does" Juliet answers "she's a lonely working wife who has a sex crazed obsession with 50 Shades of Grey"
"Child services says; "as long as it is not towards you, we shall not intervene" Miles notes in a sarcastic tone
I hear Billy grunt and leave the room with a plate of food.
"Is your dad like your mom too?" Liam asks
"No," Miles answers "he just has a shrine to Madonna in his closet"
We laugh, and start to fix our plates.
"So where are we sitting?"Harry asks
"I guess wherever" Miles replies
"Ooo, we could sneak into the Johnson's backyard and eat on their Gazebo" Juliet suggests
"That's a good idea" Miles tells her
"C'mon everybody get your plates and silverware and let's head out"
"Ok" me, and the rest of One Direction says
We get our plates and silver ware and follow Miles and Juliet out of the house and down the street to two houses away and sneak into the backyard. It's full of flowers. A true English garden. In the center a gazebo sits. We head over to it and sit down on the bench that wraps around the inside of it, and start to eat. As we eat we start to talk, and I can tell the Miles isn't as disliking of us as the night progresses.
