CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Day Four

I wake up quickly and head downstairs. A yummy bowl of cereal is waiting for me this morning instead of Juliet's attempt at food. I silently thank The Lord. I eat quickly and get dressed for the day.

"So what's the plan for today?" I ask

"We're gonna go play paint ball" Juliet answers

"Paint ball!" Zayn exclaims "that sounds awesome"

"It will be" Miles tells us

"We're going with our friends Christina Nolan, Robert Hargenson, and Susannah Ross" Juliet adds

"We'll be playing against each other on two different teams that will be picked by the people at the paint ball place" Miles explains

"Cool" Harry says

We sit around until eleven watching a Walking Dead marathon on AMC. When it gets to eleven we go and get into some cloths that we are ok with getting covered in paint.

When it becomes eleven thirty we ask Loretta this time if we can use her Honda that she bought from a girl named Shalonda. (haha see what I did there. shalonda drives a honda...get it, cause...not funny? okay, moving on.)

I drive us out to the paint ball place once again asking directions from Miles and Juliet. When we get there Miles' and Juliet's friends are waiting for us.

"Hey Christina, Robert, Susannah" Juliet cheerfully says as she gets out of the car

"Th-th-those are you're f-f-friends!" Christina excitedly stutters

"Yeah" Miles answers

(white girl stereotype time.)

"OMG! OMG! I love One Direction more than almost anything behind Starbucks!" Christina screams

"Yeah . . ." Susannah says "Sorry about Christina"

"Let's go get our paintball guns and gear" Robert suggests

All ten of us head to the shack where the gear is kept and get our gear from some dude that smells like weed. After we get our gear on, he directs us to a large, like really big, fenced in area filled with wooden walls and huts. Several mounds of dirt are splattered across the field, and all of it is covered in paint. The weed dude lines all ten of us up.

"Now y'all probably thought that y'all would be on teams, but that's a no, no" the weed dud explains "It's a free for all. Everyone is on their own team, but you can make alliances...or something...I dunno man, do what you do, I don't care..."

We nod at what he says, and I hear Juliet and Miles snicker and lock and load their paint ball guns. I gulp.

"Each of you have a different color paint in your paint ball guns. Susannah has gold, Robert has orange, Christina has pink, Miles has blue, Juliet has red, Louis has green, Zayn has grey, Harry has brown, Liam has yellow, and Niall has purple" the weed dude tells us "Once you are hit by a paint ball, you're OUT"

The sudden shout of 'out' startles all of us as we jump back a bit.

"Which means you can't play anymore, and have to come to the spectating field by the shack"

The weed dude finishes explaining and leads us to the paint ball arena and puts us in a hunger games like circle around a flag.

"The flag is the safe zone. If a person is within the white circle around it, then they are safe and can't be fired upon. This is where you should reload...but like...don't cheat and stay in the safe zone..."

We all nod.
